This FAQ details how to install the proper software and connect to the EQ2Flames Counter-Strike Source server.

I have been running half-life servers, creating mods/maps, and playing a wide spectrum of them since as long as I can remember, so I am confident I can at least help you find the information you need.
What is Counter-Strike Source?

Step 1: Obtain Steam Software:
Head on over to steampowered.com (or click
this convenient link),
click "Get Steam Now", and
click "Free Download" on the right. This will automatically download the installer. Simply
save it in a convenient location, open and install it.
Step 2: Creating your STEAMID Account.
After you install and run the program, it will prompt you for your Steam login information. If you do not currently have a steam ID, you will need to
click "Create a new Account" near the bottom. Steam Accounts are important because they save your purchase information, allowing you to download and play games you have purchased on other computers, or after you uninstall them.
*Click "Create New Account".
Then Click "NEXT".
Then click "I AGREE" after reading and accepting the Agreement.
Then create and
login with your account.
Wait for steam to finish updating.
Step 3: Purchasing Counter-Strike Source:
When you start up Steam, you may encounter some advertising, survey, or other misc. material. When you have finished with these, you should be left with a screen like the one below. Type in the game we are looking for (in this case CS:S), in the "Search field" in the top right, like I have done here.
*Type "Counter-Strike Source" in the search field in the top right, like i have done in the highlighted section here.
You should then see a list of results after hitting "Search". And, to no surprise, there is Counter-Strike source listed. Click it to continue to the purchase page.
*You should see something like this in the search results. This is what we want, so click it!
*click "Purchase" and follow the instructions to buy the game.
After purchase, it should automatically begin downloading. You can view progress by clicking the "My Games" tab.
Step 4: Joining the EQ2Flames CS:S Server:
After your game download progress is complete, it's time to play!
In your main steam window, go to View-> Servers.
*click View, Servers in your main Steam window.
*In your servers window, click the "Favorites" tab, and click "Add server".
In the "Add server" window that now appears, type in "eq2flames.com:27015". This is the "address" of the game we are looking for. Click "Add this server to favorites".
*Type in the server address, and click "Add this server to favorites".
Now, EQ2Flames CS:S server will appear in your favorites list. It will remain here for easy access to the server. Whenever you feel like playing, just hit up your favorites list.
The information listed is the server name, the type of game it is hosting, the current players on the server, the map, and your "Latency". The smaller the latency number, the better. Latency is how well you communicate to the server. With a high latency, you will experience "lag".
*Here is the server now listed in your favorites, displaying information. Double click it to start playing.
Step 5: Play!
Double clicking the server starts your game.

How do I change my name?
-Press "ESC" to open up the menu screen. Press options. Go to the player window, and change the name, and hit accept. Click "Resume" to resume playing.
