Server recruitment message: Guild Smoke

Hey everyone I just wanted to throw this information out on the Oasis board if anyone is interested. I have posted also on the official forums but as people frequent this board more, hopefully this message will receive a bit of traffic.

We like to raid. We are not considering ourselves hard-core, but maybe somewhere in the middle. We raid eastern time, 7pm until ??? but usually 11pm. If our momentum is up we may raid longer. We have a ranking system, and we assign loot based on how it will best benefit the guild to improve in raiding, often times applying a /random if more than one person will benefit equally, attend the same, dps the same etc.

We are currently a level 51 guild. As of this date we are close to level 52.

We are not looking for tanks of any kind. We are looking for any other class level 50 or higher, but the higher your level, the quicker you will feel useful. Levels will take priority in guild raid spots over the lower levels with other minor qualifiers.

Just to make sure people don't assume, we do not have DT access, haven't full cleared Labs even. What we want to do simply, is do this all together as a group of friends. We have had a history of people that join to get geared up, and then /guildremove to join other guilds with those access quests completed so they can get to the top quick. Of course this behavior has put us way behind. However those are the breaks in a big boy world, so we just keep on working through it. Currently we have a very loyal base to go on and we are a pretty close group of people. We all hop on teamspeak (which I consider a number one priority) and this builds comradarie.

Our 2 rules are that you are loyal to us, and when its raid time, you come and help. We hold no manditory attendance and are not currently interested in going that way.

Oh Sleat, when I engage in these behaviors, it feels so right, but when I read about it on a message board.....it looks SOO bad.

EDIT*** I got so busy with myself, I forgot to add a witty retort. You all know, Sleat is an Ogre Warlock, yes thats right. What we also know in the guild, is that Sleat is so fat, he has what many in the fat community call a "skin apron" or "meat apron" or sometimes referred to as a Froopa. This is the skin that hangs in front of the pelvis on morbidly obese people and it looks kind of like a skin apron and covers the genitals. Sometimes in off hours, Sleat and Tigerrag like to play "save luckskywalker" in which they both envision they are on the planet hoth, and sleat needs to save Tiger from the cold, and once tiger climbs under Sleats meat apron, he looks for his lost lightsaber.....

This is currently as far as I can go without PTSD therapy.

Anyway, thanks for the bump from someone outside the guild. Honestly, we were just having fun ragging on each other. Sorry if that gets your goat.

Speaking of goat, Grissil has a blowup doll that looks like a goat. Tigerrag holds it for him and makes the goat noises. Although, rumor has it that they got carried away and busted the goat and now use Jaysride as a stand-in. Baaaaa.....

No thanks, happy where I am and know a few former smoke members that weren't happy there. Appreciate the thought. It doesn't get my goat at all, I only noticed cause it was getting bumped over and over. Just don't think that guilds who bump their own recruitment thread really attract a lot of people, IMO. But hey, have fun. You won't have to worry about me participating in your rat session. Carry on
