Guild Websites

Why is it that there isn't one single guild on Oasis who has a website thats worth a shit? Hell there are very few EQ2 guild websites anywhere that are worthy of any praise..

They are all pieced together ugly ass wannabe websites, and thats if their not some homely piece of shit from guildportal !!!

My guild used to have a sweet website everything was beautiful and integrated it went with the flow and even the DKP site was integrated into the same look and feel of the forums..

Sadly it's gone away since i've retired but now that i'm back i'm thinking of making a new one but with there being 1000000 guilds already on Oasis i'm not sure it'd be worth adding another to the mix...

Do you all think that a Guild's web presence is important with it being the public face of your guild on the internet ?

Because, who the FUCK CARES ABOUT WHAT YOUR WEBSITE LOOKS LIKE?

It's about what you do in-game that matters, not how pretty your website looks. We're not trying to sell shit to you, we want to impress you by our actions in-game.

All I have to say is LOL. But on a serious note...I do believe the presence of a good website is nice thing to have. However, the quality of a website does not define a guild. Anyone who joins a guild because of their website should get out of their chair, turn around, and hit their head against the wall 50 times for everytime they have stupid ideas because they are a moron.

Guild websites should offer the essentials: Forums, DKP, Rules/Regulations, Recruiting, Guild Status (kills). Anything more than that is extra fluff to either make a bad guild look good or make a good guild look even better.

but the forums and dkp works so its all we care about, and its not supposed to be our "public face" to the community....just a tool for OUR guild members

And yes Trak has not been killed on Oasis but I am gearing out my alt guardian atm so he will be dead very soon. I promise! for all you that love to keep track.
