Genesis seeking a raiding alliance

We currently schedule raids mon-thurs 8pm-11pm eastern. Mobs killed in TSO are up to and including the following.

1. Tombs - Thet-Em-Aua
2. Inner Sanctum - Kultak the Cruel
3. Palace - Absatalius

We are looking to cooperate with another raiding guild that operates in the same time span (We are flexible on the raid days) to make progression before the expansion. The original plan is to do alliance raids 2 days a week, so we may continue to have guild only raids the other 2 days. Optimally each guild would provide 12 members, although that number could be modified by 2 or 3 either way, depending on availability, ability and class needs. Loot distribution would be on a dkp based system to be negotiated and started fresh with the alliance raids.

It seems to be a win-win solution for guilds that have difficulty filling their raids or progressing beyond what they currently farm. Both guilds will end up with better gear than what has currently been earned.

Sounds like it could get complicated, and people would end up getting butthurt over loot/inclusion in the raids.

If your doing an alliance, why not do DKP style, so people would have to come back, to be able to get loot. It would cut down on the "omg its fabled, it must be better" type of player, and help gear up your more consistent raiders.

Genesis does use a dkp system.....AND is a "raided" raiding guild.

If you Valhalla guys knew some of your guildmate's history, you would know you have a few current and former raiders that were Genesis members that couldn't or wouldn't wait for the rebuilding process following our Guild Leader's death to complete. We also have former members in some of the other top tier raid guilds on Oasis. If we still had all those people, we'd be right up there with the rest of you guys sniffing Tyranny's ass for 2nd best on the server. Yeah, boohoo...who gives a shit, right? I'm not whining about it and as a matter of fact, anyone that has left the guild with class has always had my blessing and no hard feelings. Just stating facts.

We choose NOT to recruit raiders from other guilds and try to build a raid force based on loyality that should be formed by training and gearing people that for the most part have never raided before. That process is NOT a quick fix, and some people do grow weary of having to that time and time again before we get a full competent raid force fielded. It is my belief that the expansion will revitalize the game and all our guilds will be healthier and stronger than they are now.
