closest victories, and barely misses
As a change of subject, because I happen to like Tyranny peoples, and I have no bones to pick with Valhalla peoples, and for the most part, i'd like to think i get along with most people on Oasis, I am providing this thread as a neutral distraction from the very entertaining -yet silly epeen threads nearbye.
I am interested in hearing raiding guild's various success and failure stories and just how close things came in TSO.
For example:
I think it was our second kill of Gozak, and it was messy..... very messy. I'm still unclear of how it was pulled off , but Gozak ate our 3rd avatar, then he ate a fourth, the adds piled up, people were dropping left and right. We had someone pull a 5th avatar out of their ass, and somehow Gozak dies with only 8 people left alive in the raid.
I'm pretty sure that was our closet margin of victory ever.
I'll have to add the most embarssing failure I can remember recently is getting our butts blown up on a auto-fail event on anashti when she was at 2%.
Now i know we all assume Tyranny kills all TSO mobs in under 1:30, but we should know better that even Tyranny has some spectacular feats where they snatched victory from defeat, or where the raid leaders came close to emo cutting, due to a monumental failure.
And I know damn well there ought to be some interesting stories from other guilds as well, so let's hear it.

First night working on Zarrakon, some asshole wipes us with the vision that doesn't tell you who did it at 18%. Was like our 7th pull =\.

Re: closest victories, and barely misses
Epic failures? I remember spending an entire raid night on fucking blob cause of drunken afk enchanters, a no-show guild "leader," and a healer who not only didn't cure, but didn't realize we were always fighting two mobs at a time. Having just barely over 2 groups didn't help, but we still should have rocked that shit. We'd get him down to like 10%, then fail a DPS check, or cures would get screwed up.
"Add"..."You mean the mob we pull to spawn blob?" Fucking priceless.
Ah, good times with a still-forming guild.
As for near misses, one night in VP while Trak flagging folks, Orrdain and I both decided to reboot after one of the nameds. Well, we came back in and nobody would send us invites, so we grouped up and caught up to the raid force, and the crazy Dane decides he's going to pull something to fight beside the raid, and they can join in when they finished their fight. Except that he forgot about encounter locking. Damn near duo'd a trash mob. Well, okay, it was pretty much all Orrdain, but it was pretty epic regardless.

Yar, it was incredible... And yea that guild was a fucking joke when Smels was running it tbh. Vayne did a nice job sorta turning it around.

Re: closest victories, and barely misses
Truf. It is indeed the blue pool. A for effort Tyre, D- for execution. Although the color of the pool doesn't change the fact that the unnamed person is a complete and utter retard. My favorite is when ppl ask which pool to jump in to clear which vision. Hmm... red vidion, red pool. Purple vision... well you see the pattern here?

Re: closest victories, and barely misses
Not to mention the retarded 20 minute discussion we had one night about how the purple vision looks more like blue. Fucking people, I swear to god.
