Contested Etiquette

One suggestion to those that are competing for contested: Let's communicate with each other and have a bit more consideration for others. I personally do not want to have a free for all on pulling encounters as was evidenced not too long ago. Perhaps it was a misunderstanding, perhaps not. Actions do speak louder than words, however.

Yes, it is technically a free-for-all. I understand that. I just need to know under what standards everyone else operates under so that I can adjust mine accordingly.

Taking turns in order on contested...cool with me. Pulling w/o regard to anyone around you...I'll do that too. I'm just letting everyone know what I prefer. Anyone else?

Its just dumb when your standing around for 20 minutes waiting for someone to pull, if you're ready, go IMO.

A simple communique is sufficient to determine whether the next group in line is ready to go or not. It only takes a couple seconds.

Non-action is also action.

So when I am camping contested and they pop should I let you guys know too?

I have a problem with guilds taking 15-20mins between pulls. Not only is it a waste of time for both, but it is a contested mob. If your raid is not ready to pull after we wipe, buff, make our nessecary changes, and are ready to pull again, you're fucked - we're pulling.

Amen. If the raid that just wiped is already back and set up to pull again, they pull again.

You realize that Paradigm is only being polite right now because they think we are incompetent retards. As soon as another guild starts getting Avatars down, I'll bet you we won't see them standing off to the side waiting for us.

Contesteds are a contest. We are here to kill mobs, not make friends. I'm not going to be an ass and purposely ask a coercer to charm an agro mob and drop it on you, but when it comes to pulls its a free-for-all imo.

It really shouldn't take more than 2-3 minutes to be ready to pull again. If you are waiting longer than that its your fault really. Unless something like the mob not being completely reset such as PHH where sometimes the pumpkins stay up after a raid whipes, pulls should happen quickly.
