EverQuest Trilogy
Hi,
Some of you might be interested to hear that a classic version of the EverQuest Trilogy is now up and running.
A lot like the EQClassic and ProjectEQ but this isnt just all talk with no walk.

Re: EverQuest Trilogy
Yes, with the exception of a few (and it is just a few) mobs still being decoded and added in patches shortly it is 100% classic.
It also holds a database on within the forum ftp where you can enter a mobs name, and then see if it spawns, how often, and what loot it drops.
There are also detailed XP tables of how the servers XP ratio works in accordance to the original Verant model (practically identicle).
Its exactly what EQClassic and ProjectEQ were trying to achieve but instead of holding a massive member base with no sign of completition before 2010 - They completed it and then dished out a forum. All they need is a strong player core.
Wizzel (the guy who runs EQClassic but cant develop shit and relies on everybody else cos his c++ skills are nup) seems to be butthurt that somebody else has achieved what he couldnt - And so much as mentioning the fact that he sucks balls on the EQClassic forum gets you a 7 day ban. So if your loyal to them, I wouldnt sign up.
But im open minded - I said to myself id play on whatever server was completed first... and Wizzels project has been going since September with little progress.
The guy who runs this server has a massive e-peen and it dwarfs the other contestants in the race for a live classic server.
So yea, if you wanna play oldskool EverQuest right now - Then sign up. Boxing is also allowed but character slots are limited to 3.

Neat idea but I cannot find any info on how to actually join the server, Yea I made a forum account but that is a forum account. I need info on how you actually start playing, IE buy eq1, install, point to a custom server somehow etc etc? Not impressed so far with lack of info.

And it will give me a good idea of how eq1 was.
