In the wake of severe global disaster, the political face of 22nd century earth has changed. Player created factions scheme against each other for power while simultaneously opposing a totalitarian world government bent on domination. Traditional full-scale wars a thing of the past, factions must rely on covert agencies, teams of elite special operatives able to seize and defend key facilities. I spent two miserable years at GaTech. I recall it as a disgusting city with a ridiculous crime rate -- and definitely not a hotbed for technology.

it's gotten better...much more of an international city with a lot of companies based there. i wouldn't call it a shithole, it's not Memphis, but i wouldn't want to live there.

i work there a few times a year, but usually stay in Smyrna, Marietta, or Mableton depending on the job. they need to do something about MARTA and make it a more viable transportation option for people not involved in selling illegal drugs or robbing people. traffic there is brutal.
