EQ2flames blew up because of the nazi mods on the official forums. And, while I would love an aocflames site, I don't think it would be as popular since the AoC official forums are pretty much an FFA flame fest right now as it is.

Also, to me, EQ2Flames is more of a general site like the FOH forums are, with just a different community. I like it. I don't think it should be game specific really other than the EQ2 stuff because its already here. /shrug

I agree. This site was mainly created because EQ2 really has a lot of potential but the assrangers running it are completely ruining it. I think in order for a game to have an official status here, it needs a real following and to have the people running it take a huge dump on its community.

So, for AoC to make it here, they'd have to remain successful for a year atleast and really fuck people over. The chances of part one may be slim, but I can see Funcom pulling some real ass moves and not giving a shit. Atleast they don't try to pretend to care about the community.

I'd endorse an AoC subforum. If this site is capable of a new general role with an overarching EQ2 core, the way FoH has a general role with an overarching WoW core, then let's go for it. We have a far higher "ambient" logged-in count than they do anyway.

I suppose this would keep our retarded little community intact and ever-growing, trolls and players alike, rather then sending them off to the four winds.

This pretty much sums up where I'm close to being regarding gaming. As someone who started gaming on an Apple IIc and is married to a wife who asks "Is there a raid tonight?" so she can plan dinner time around it, I really think I'm done gaming as well. From FPS to MMORPG, I've played most of them and tired of them all.

I agree with this for the most part, but think that having small subforum sections for other games like wow, aoc, etc., that bank resources and give a place to discuss specifics in those games lays strong groundwork for when the eventual nazi mod patrol strikes. It's also bound to increase overall traffic and ad revenue, and I'm sure there are some diehards already banned from the forums of all the other games.

Besides that, there are retards that play every game, and who doesn't want more rate-a-retard traffic?


All I know is I was hurting for some EQ2flames over the weekend when the data center exploded. I'd hate to see the site die just because EQ2 does.

Niber and LFG blatantly need a break, not just from the game but from herding drama-llamas so, I popped over to the link Niber dropped, assuming that's the EQ2Flames endorsed AOC subforum. Wargore seems to be an experienced admin and is reacting to feedback very quickly right now.

I'm not sure if a Flames-like site is needed for AOC yet but, I started an EQ2Flames social group on http://www.aocunrated.com for us to keep in contact if, heaven forbid, something like EQ2Flames.com ever becomes unavailable. Let me know if you want an invite.
