If gear doesn't matter then what's the point of raiding? They have the normal great ideas but they aren't showing how they plan to implement it. I like the ideas but i'm not hopeful in the slightest.

If there's ever been another game trailer that looked like Vanguard. Thats the one.

Boats, Player made citys/shops, no instances.

Not saying it'll be terrible, but for the entirety of that video, i coulda swore i was watching the VG trailer from 2-3 years ago.

Darkfall is supposed to be the MMO for PvPs, announced 7 years ago and continues to be vaporware. This game will fail because it's designed around PvP and only PvP.

100% skill, no class or level systems... what's the point of playing at all, exactly? Prettier armor?

Because with dick all to work for it seems like time would be better spent playing CS or UT2k4.

It sounds completely horrible and dull, plus it heavily implies there's no real leveling or progression whatsoever. Wow, it has skill based combat? Yeah, I play FPS games for that.

And I'm honestly not sure how some of their "features" even make sense. "Explore the many different paths to being successful, and discover new ones that nobody thought of before." Wow, even ones the developers themselves never thought of? Usually that's called exploiting, not a feature.
