Team Fortress 2 (anyone playing?)

Hi, I just bought the Orange Box and have been having a blast with Team Fortress 2 on Steam. Its crazy and fast paced and I am totally getting my ass kicked but god ITS FUN.
Anyone playing? If not there is supposed to be a free weekend at Steam (its free to play if you own the game but if you do not they are giving free downloads for this weekend.)
Try it, its pretty cool.

What TF2 are you playing that's fast paced? Because the one I've played feels slow as crap compared to Quake 3 or UT2k4.

It's fast paced if you don't pub or play custom maps.

As far as UT2k4, the only fast paced modes in that are the worthless ones. Onslaught is slow and methodical, and the only thing worth playing. But then again, you mentioned Quake 3, so you're probably a retard anyway.

Well, the only other FPS online game i have played is HALO. Compared to Halo its very fast paced in the regard that you die very quickly, respawn and die quickly again (me anyhow).
I dont know, I think its alot of fun though and was just curious if any of you play.

Anyone playing Counter strike: source? Always up for a challenge. Don't really pub. Just scrim and matches.

And what the hell is wrong with Quake 3? Everybody runs faster than a Scout does in TF2 so... yeah. Much faster paced.

Quake is insanely fast. I remember going to a Q1 tournament my buddy qualified for in Vegas and they used no textures and each round was like 1.2 seconds, extremely intense.

Quake 1 is still the best online FPS game of all time. Deathmatch and 3wave CTF matches were fast paced and intense. My main regret in that game is I didn't live anywhere with high speed internet until it's popularity started giving way to quake3 and Unreal Tournament. Such is the life of an HPB. Only the college punks had high speed internet back then....and the damn Canadians.

And I'm talking about good old NQ, not that Quake World trash. Although the original Team Fortress was in Quake World.

Oh yeah, Team Fortress 2 kicks ass. It's a lot of fun.
