are there bugs? performance issues? sure. performance has been getting worse lately. although todays update seems to have made it better again.
there are two massive updates every week. less than a week after that crappy siege, this update was released:
Massive PvP- Player city keeps now contain a vendor that sells siege weapons.
- Players will now get teleported out of the zone before the battle starts.
- Traders that would not spawn at the Battlekeep Tradeposts will now spawn. Traders will now be available at Battlekeeps.
- Ballista NPCs will no longer spawn at an unbuilt tower.
- The Boarder Kingdoms has had its environments adjusted. This should reduce draw-distance in those playfields and contribute to a performance-increase.
i'm sure it doesn't nearly fix everyone. but the DEVs reacted in less than a week.
So, yeah, I'm a fanboi. Funcom took the unknown and completely unplayable AO and made it one of the best MMOs on the market. Surely they can take the slightly broken and very successful AoC and do even better.
And if you don't like the game... well... that's why there are lots of MMOs out there. For different tastes.

Assuming you're playing a Ranger, if I remember who you are correctly, I doubt you're level 57

(mistook you for someone else, oops!)
As I should reach cap fairly soon on my Ranger, I see about 40% off my attacks dodged/parried/evaded or just doing nothing at all, I think that's a severe affect on my gameplay.
Now, I know some people here won't complain about much on AoC, as they've went with people they played with on EQ2 over to the game, they don't face much incompetence in the game at all.
But, as I went over as a solo player, I've seen that this game is very unfriendly to the casual player. Imagine bad pickup groups on EQ2, about 30 times worth. Grouping is not casual friendly, and the itemization on this game is absolutely horrible. I've solo'd almost entirely to 80, and I'm really beginning to feel as if I'm doing the same thing all the time.
I've seen about eight quests out of the probably 300 I've finished, but when the problem is as simple as the NPC just not giving you the quest, I really think that's a pretty simple problem to fix.
The crafting system is absolutely horrible, there's plenty of mob pathing issues. Not to mention since todays patch I've seen more 10 second freezes in two hours of play time I had today than what I've had in the week previous.
Also, another issue is that 60% of what was promised on release is too broken to do properly. The trader system is crap, the GUI is hardly customizable.
If it's possible to imagine, the customer service is 100 times worse than SoE. It takes a minimum of 12 hours for a petition to be answered, and they time out after 4 hours (and that's when you're 25th in line for your petition).
I could go on, but I really don't feel like it. To be honest, the game was a nice change, also since I haven't played any PC games the last 6 months it was kind of interesting. But it's getting boring quick.
and in my honest opinion, the game seems like it was more developed around solo play than group content. I don't pay 15 dollars a month to chat and grind, I like to do a little grouping occasionally.
