Ok I made it to level 17 on my Xeth reroll without quitting...

I'm having a lot of fun but I have to be honest, I've already seen about 10 bugs I remember from Beta/Release. It's improved a lot but its still got issues. Of course I'm trained to look for defects so it could be me...

Yeah the most common bugs are UI flashing fucking annoying shit.. And you can just /flush that to temporarily fix it. There's other little ones. When I'm grouped with my gf's bard and we try to use a riftway, she has to go first because it always tells me I can't use a riftway during a PvP battle.. umm.. thx... I'll remember that when I'm IN a fucking PvP battle! lol.

As a disciple I fight with no ranged weapon (except shurikens), but occasionally a bow or xbow will appear on my back.. It's a graphical glitch, cosmetic but annoying.

The 'show names' checkbox magically unchecks itself from time to time. That's annoying.

But those things are ok. There's none of the really major bugs constantly fucking you over like before. You're not constantly struggling to get through content whilst having to reload from ctd every 5 minutes.

Good things:

1: You no longer regularly ctd when chunking.
2: You no longer randomly turn 180 degrees after chunking (resulting in re-chunking as soon as you hit W)
3: You no longer randomly get ported to the middle of the ocean or into the middle of a densely populated high level dungeon when chunking. New Targanor seems to be the only chunk which can (very rarely) dump you in the ocean.
4: Random ctd just plain doesn't happen anymore. Well, no more regularly than in any other MMO I've played.
5: Falling through the world hardly ever happens anymore. As with ctd, it's no more frequent than any other MMO I've been playing.

I'm sure there's more, I just can't think of any right now.

One thing which struck me recently is the sheer size of the game. It's fucking HUGE. There's such a huge variety of things to do and places to gear up, it's really hard to decide what to aim for. That's partly good and partly a bit frustrating. It takes a while to really learn what's out there.

The APW raid zone, now that I've looked at maps of it and done some reading, is absolutely fucking HUGE. You couldn't scratch the surface in 1 night's raiding. I believe it's a contested dungeon too, although I might be wrong about that. Maybe just the respawn points are shared. It certainly has the feel of the huge EQ1 raid zones though.

They're launching 2 new raid zones soon too. If they're anything like APW, the endgame is going to be BIG.

APW is very big yes, and it is a contested dungeon. They are only releasing one new raid dungeon soon, that's Pantheon of the Ancients. And they constantly add new overland contested mobs, so there's a good ammount of content atm.

Still happens!

Also, I still see lots of enemies under rocks or stuck in trees, or spawning on top of each other. On top of that, some mobs will reset when you cast a spell to pull, which especially sucks when you use a long recast, high damage spell to pull a 4 dot.

I never pull with word of doom because of just that.

Until about lvl 22ish you can do white single work orders at C quality and gain a level every half hour (if you're quick). After that, I'd recommend doing sets and batched at A quality (must have some gear. I suggest gathering quests from atleast Kojan (Cia'Brael is a must visit) and Qalia), because you can get sigils for rare recipes from the trainers.

Right inside Wildgrowth is the last place I remember. I always fly from there to Martok to do my bidness, and I randomly turn around when I cross the zone border.

Don't play a monk, play something else unless you really desire to play one, otherwise you might not like it that much.
