I think that the problem folk have is with your predictions of shiny boxes of shit without play. Anything with mass appeal, or a that is looked forward to by enough people seem to get a knee jerk "this will be shit" from you without your ever trying it out.

Iron Man. Decent comic book character. I didn't love it, didn't hate it. Woulda watched the movie, except I hate RDJ. That's the only thing. I would have probably enjoyed it without him in there. He raises my anger level like Carlos Mencia does. Anyway, still probably will rent the Bluray when it comes out.

GTA4. The entire GTA series is shit. I don't need to play for to know I hated GTA3, Vice City, San Andreas, and any other shitty titles that came out.

AoC. Nothing, and I repeat nothing has shown me anything revolutionary, except from what I've read, a shitty combat system. With some updated graphics. Wow. Its not my Messiah, friend.


Like I said, none of you who pull this shit on me have any substance, just the fact that someone said it before you.

I happen to be an optimist. But I'm not delusional. I can tell by reading reviews if I'm going to like it or not. And not criticisms. I wanna read about gameplay, classes, roles, and how in depth I can get. I could easily play another text based RPG if I KNEW it was going to really draw me in.

I also really wish that someone would release something that was REALLY in depth for the PC again. It appears PC gaming is going through another slump. I play plenty of newer titles. I go to the movies often, and enjoy myself. I like new books, and I watch new TV. I couldn't care less when something comes out, just that it has substance.

because you've played the release right ?.. thats how you KNOW it's shitty combat and nothing revolutionary ?

It has a number of things that are just "HOLEEEE SHIT" in my mind, one of those being how the map works with quests. Showing the area that quest items drop. Its not revolutionary, both wow and EQ2 have this, but through addons.

Honestly though, unless you've played it how can you give any kind of feedback on it ?

No I actively read and follow, and in the case of AoC and GTA4 actively participated in the threads. Depending on what class you are playing ya it is kinda blah. well until 50, i know as a necro the class sucks ass til about then. Melee though are just gods period...oh and the uber bugged PoM and ToS classes. Though necro's are kinda bugged to...but not nearly as powerful of a bug as the ToS/PoM bugs....
