Mages:
I'd stay away from herald... you're looking at an eq2 shadowknight right there, no mistake. It looks pretty and useful, and heralds will want to be used as tanks in demon form, but they'll be ill suited to do the job because you can't be in demon form all the time. Waiting 30 sec between pulls for your tank to become useful isn't anyone's idea of a good raid. On top of that, you're a cloth wearer in melee range doing far less damage than an assasin, the other cloth wearer in melee range... that will make just about anyone sad-in-pants.
Demo looks sweet, you've got to control the pet, keep it from getting hurt, because it's pretty much a buff with a model. It's got more use alive and buffing the group than it does doing any real damage.
Necro looks like it has some good pet options, but I haven't played it as much as the other two. They get a very long pull range with their nukes compared to bow users.
Healers: Bear shaman starts out weak and stays that way for the first 30, and then opens up to be one of the most favored classes. I think that a lot of healers will go BS or ToS. I haven't talked with or even seen any PoM yet, and probably for good reason.
