I'm excited about this game as well. Just going to temper the enthusiasm so I don't get kicked in the nuts like VG did. I found this at the website and think this kicks ass.

The player city stuff is actually something they did in their previous MMO and was really fun and added a great element to game play. imagine instead of going to a raid, suddenly your city is attacked by the raid mobs... (not only raid mobs btw)

have they showcased the casters much yet? We know that they have a new system for combat for the melee, but is it going to be the same old shit for casters? Other then pets and some minor ae spells i havent seen much yet. Are spells going to be ae and cone based or will we have to aim single target spells also?

they've shown some casting but it's been the regular root and shoot type of stuff seen plenty in other MMOs.

The casting system is also different for AoC, but not the same way as melee. THere is some aimed based stuff, but the main meat of it is supposed to be the "spellweaving" which allows you to pool different spells and create more powerful ones with the possibility of becoming corrupted and going to hell if you fail at it (magic is very dark and evil in AoC)... but this stuff hasn't been shown as of yet.
