FTIW... saw on G4 last night where pre-orders for this have it listed as the top selling PC game atm. Not saying that is any indication whatsoever of how good it is or will be, but it sounds like a bunch of people are at least going to be trying it. Hope they are underpromising and overperforming rather than vice sersa.

From what I hear..Looks much better when you're in it..like I said the videos are not doing it justice at all. Also, the combat stuff he's showing there...the demo fight sort of edged the action to help explain the commentary, but in real time it's a much faster much smoother action.

Also from what I hear..you can turn all the 'follow the arrow' stuff off too as you learn to memorize the combo moves. Its there more for the ease of learning it..(or for people who won't ever remember it otherwise)

Thats what I've picked up from different forums..anyhow. Bleh.

Really? From what I heard, it was complete shit once you got in, and that's from someone who was really into it before he actually played it. ODD.

I remember vg forums, oh how I remember those...

Well..from what I hear..beta was set on low graphics for a very long time..which is why I think some of these videos dont do it justice, and as each build gets added in and debugged the world just seems to grow and change by leaps and bounds. Betas are like that..but has your friend gone back in and looked lately? like..in the past three weeks or so? If not..I would highly suggest he pop by for another look.
