I don't know I tried AoC played the beta a bit, and something is just missing. The combat system just feels very bland, and none of the classes were all that fun to play.
In my opinion if anyone is waiting for the "next big thing," look towards a Bioware or Blizzard release, although I will wait and see what WAR is like.

AoC is going for a very different type of player than WoW. WoW players probably will have little interest in a game that requires this level of strategy / thought in combat. The people who DO like that will love the game, and that's the audience they're aiming for. Anyone who's ever wanted a game to be a bit more a challenge. It is a game that doesn't want people who can't figure out how to press more than one button during a fight. Definately geared to the intelligent over 21 crowd. (and with language, gore and nipples to match) |

When applied to movies, typically Language, Gore, and Nipples appeals to what is viewed as a lower part of society, not the intelligent over 21 crowd...
