How do the controls feel? The thing I find that drives me nuts is that newer games just feel like they are stuck in molasses. I don't mean in a my system is slow way, I mean in a rolling downhill way. Start out slower, and then builds up to normal speed.

One of the biggest reasons I did not like LOTRO, and DDO.

It is offcourse very different compared to EQ2, cause this is a very uniqe combat system for a mmorpg. In EQ2 it is basically just spam every combatart you have to do some great dps. In AoC you have to complete combos. When you level up you get combos, theise combos can be direct dmg, dots, snares, knockbacks etc. etc. When you click on one of your combo skills you have to click those 3 arrows you can see in a right order to execute the combat on your target. There will be a small box when you hit a combo that tells you in which order you should hit the arrow keys. If you do it wrong, then your combo will not be executed on the target you have.
Your arrow keys are also your "autoattack keys", this means: You can see there are 3 arrows, Left, middle and right. So when you hit left, you will hit the enemy from the left. The enemy will have some indicators of which side it is best to hit it from not to get parryed or blocked.
You can also parry by double click buttons: A, s or d. If you do that you will jump in one of theise directions, and have a chance for parry.
With this system it means that you can NEVER afk auto attacking, you have to be clicking something to do dmg, no slacking whatsoever, or you will die :P
My personal opinion on this system, is that it is very cool. And it is definately something new in a MMORPG

Plus if you killshot with a combo you get a chance for a fatality!!!!

Q and E are also directional attacks, but you don't get them till 40.

The game is still going to fail, but who knows, maybe it will be mildly entertaining for a little while.

I really dont think it will fail..It is a good game..I am not saying it will be the next WoW (subscription wise) or anything but it certainly doesn't suck

I doubt the game will fail. Allready this beta is looking very good/stable with gameperformance and not that manny bugs, compared to a beta like Vanguard. Funcom is working very very hard to get alot of bugs fixed. The patches atm are massive, and you can really feal when you login after a big patch that the game is running even more smooth.
It will never beat WoW, because this kind of game is for abit more higend computers, which the small kids can't afford

And the gameplay is kinda special compared to other games.
