+Parry Items

Hey guys,

I'm looking to up my avoidance and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some good +parry gear. Since we only self buff Def, I think I stand to gain more from parry at this point then additional +def gear.

I'm looking at things that are group/instance attainable since this is an alt and raid gear probably won't make its way down to me.

I already have the parry adorns for wrists and will probably add it to my SoD when I finish that.

Chel drak has a nice earring with I think +7 parry and +4 defense (could be wrong). Nizara has a fairly common drop legendary earring with +5 parry and nice HP.

Are from Last mob in Nek 3.

Are from Den of the Devourer.

I can't Remember where these drop.

And there is a Legendary BP from the Claymore quest in SOS titled riddle of the vault that has 3 parry on it.

These are some of the easy items to get that have parry on them. Also there is the +5 parry adorn for your bracers, 2% parry for your wrists and I recommend the reposte Adorn for your wep if ya want even more avoid.

Do not fall into the same trap I see some less expierenced players do. They sometimes become so focused on one stat that they hurt themselves overall. For example, those chiting plated gauntlets have horrible mit (not that matters) but more importantly shitty health. Darkmetal pauldrens have low health and no agi. It's a tough balance.

Woz is right don't stick to wanting items that are basically crap just to get parry. If you want avoid then stick with the Adorns and make sure you have the Hero line from you Pali aa's. Increased block pwns all. The only reason I linked those items is cause he was looking for stuff with parry on it but most of that stuff is crap. In fack the only half way descent piece from those is the bracers and maybe just maybe the BP from the claymore quest. My advise to you would be to get your eof legendary set gear and adorn those. A link to your eq2 players might help a bit more so we can see where your at to.

Thanks for the reply's. Yeah, I had bought a pair of the chitin gloves just to see if they were worth it, and gave them up almost immediatly.

I'm working on EoF Legenday right now. Waiting on the chest which refuses to drop.

Gotta get around to adorning the set arms cause those are nice too and will be an upgrade over the current ones (with an acceptable hit to mit) Working on SoD, before adorning a weapon. Should be able to get into a Mayong kill for the upgrade to it too.

There is a "balance" you have to achieve with the +stats as in taking them but not giving up too much. as Woz said.

I can take some of my gear (don't laugh, it tough starting out a new main) curreantly I'm using Awakened Scalelord Gauntlets as I found they give pretty decent avoid but they are pretty much on my first list to upgrade... if you want avoidance... sometimes +AGI will help you as much... I can hotswap a bow in with 20 AGI and currantly in my setup my avoid won't change from a +2def/+2parry symbol. simply b/c that has no AGI upon it.

Once you get to the stage where defence items and parry items start hit hard in deminishing returns its time to look into getting +Slashing and pure health

That said the best way to increase your advoid is with 5 fabled adorns

+1 % block chance (shield)
+2% parry chance x 2 (actually 1.9% @ 70), wrists
+7 Parry (Forearms)
+2% riposte/parry (slashing weapon)

A Pally uses all stats... so bare this in mind
