New Pally, Helps yo.
I recently betrayed my sk to pally, and was wondering how i can maximize my dps, currently agi/sta/int for kos aa's. smite evil and block mastery for eof aa's. missing 6masters atm. fully fabled mostly kos since i betrayed and lost a few pieces of sk eof set. Any help is most welcome.
Thanks.

Re: New Pally, Helps yo.
I think your good on the AA's. I'd throw extra points in the EoF tree into the proc AA's. Getting DPS isn't much different to how you used to do it with your SK. Since many things proc off spell attacks, keep in mind you have less spells than you did previously. Your DPS will be a tad lower than it was before the change, even if you were comparably equipped.

Re: New Pally, Helps yo.
Well if you're going to be a pally and guild asked you to switch, I will assume you will be offtanking alot. If the mobs are close enough for your AE taunt to hit both, open up with that of course. If not, generally I would start with Brimstone, then Encounter taunt, then relentless conviction (the PBaE+stun), then smite evil to really piss em off. After that you still have your single target taunt and your shield bash for any that might be getting away, and should have very firm AE aggro.
Brimstone is great for pulling ranged because as long as you have ANY member of an encounter targeted, it will do damage to all other encounter members, even around corners and through walls. So no line of sight issues provided you can at least see one of them.

I learned something last night...
Illusionist Int buff + Fury Int Buff + Smite evil + Offensive stance = Mobs very angry at the Paladin OT

Re: New Pally, Helps yo.
Oh shit Pimak really did betray!!! Welcome to the good side of the house you will see things are much better over here.
Here is some good info on aa setups. For the KoS side you sound good!!
http://www.eq2flames.com/paladins/73...a-tree-ss.html
I always OT in offensive stance with board and sword and if I pull agro I swap to def stance, stand right next to the guard so when I pull agro the mob doesn't turn and the scouts don't lose DPS, and you will find that if you have a proper amends target pulling agro is very easy.
For gear I don't know if this is a matter of opinion or what but I have always tried to go max HP, then avoid, then mit cause once a mob is debuffed the Extra HP helps with spike damage(others opinions may vary).
Neways GL with your transition to playing a Paladin.
