got my Lucanic Gladius last night (yay) and now looking forward to killing Mayong. the Gladius boosted my Block percentage to 30%(!), and now i'm wondering how to increase it even further. can anyone post a list of +block items? they are kinda rare~ jewelry, armor, maybe recommend some top shields... thanks!

If you want the most Block, you need the shield created from the Scale from 3rd floor EH. And combined with Avatar of Hate's "Cuirass of Hatred" Unique drop(+5% block), and the Lucanic/Soulfire Gladius you will end up with the most block possible.

With adornments and the shield from Throne room you should be able to push 32% block, anything more than that you will need the avatar bp, currias of hatred, with it i currently sit at 37% block

aye, put a 1% block adorn on it and its the best tower shield in game imo, the one from eh is decent but i still like that for the chance to proc that stoneskin, its saved my ass many times, nothing better than looking down and seeing stoneskin has abosorbed 7k damage, and yes thats without a dirge's PoS

AA boost, adornment on shield, and gladius = 32% block + currias of hatred = 37% block

Ah, it's a stoneskin, ok. How about jewelry~ anybody have any pieces with +block on them? I've seen earrings with +defense and +parry, but can't say as I've seen anything with +block.

+37% that's awesome.

For those new pallies just starting out, this is only acheived with the Hero AA line.

I dont think there is, I have never seen anything else besides gladius and cuirass of hatred as items with +block

I haven't seen anything outside of what's been listed above either. There used to be block adornments for wrist items but that was changed a few LUs back to 2% parry adornments to better fit with classes that don't use shields.

I've been using Lucanic Gladius for a few weeks now, simply because I was DPSing with it just as well as I was with my old KoS fabled axes, and liked the extra avoidance.

Sunday however, I was able to snag a MMIS run after our alliance took the week off from MMIS, and got my Mayong update. Can't wait to eee how the Soulfire Gladius improves my parse in FTH and MMIS this week.

With the Gladius and a Dirge in my group last night my avoidance was 65%/60%defensive/offensive stance. Lots of blocks and parries on the Rumbler fight; was nice to see. Looks like the concensus is 37% max on block avoidance~ anyone know how high we can realistically get our overall avoid in raid?
