and yea i know it does kind of sound like an exploit, but TBH it is more innovative a way of doing the encounter, which requires more thought process than simply dual tank that shit, heal through the aoes, and burn the mobs till they are dead

After burning ourselves out doing it the hard way ac ouple times, we thought long and hard about this and concluded it can't be an exploit, since the behavior of the mobs differs from other epics.
1) The Trisecteds spawn on the first player to zone in, so you can control it and you should no matter how you do the encounter. Had SOE wanted something different, the Trisecteds could spawn on, say, a random raid member - or #2 on the hate list, etc.
2) After spawning and finding their target "dead", the Trisecteds neither despawn and break the encounter, nor do they chase the rest of the raid force. Pretty odd behavior.
So if this isn't a valid alternate way of doing the encounter, I can't explain the behavior of the mobs.
