For tankers Soulfire (even Lucanic) PWNs that garbage and it's 10 levels lower. Maybe we could use D-stance and up our Wis to improve the proc result marginally but, loose the O-stance mods? +50% to spell damage is the cap that spell damage can be modified and with Paladins having relatively low damage spells this proc barely exists when we're all buffed and in O-stance. We DPS with 2handers anyway...

Tanking Paladins (which most of us are) have been, quite frankly, insulted. Please don't tell me that this is the magical equation of all that is intended to be uber for the Paladin class. This CAN'T be the (mis)direction the designers in charge of our class are leaning! ...although this certainly appears to be the case.

Either that or one department doesn't know what the other is doing... item designers passing the buck with "we don't design the direction of the class" and class designers are going to say "well we didn't make the item"... I'm sorry to sound rude but this is about as bad as it gets for a class.
Someone has to man up, take ownership and FIX THIS!

I didn't think anything could be worse than the Illusionist epic but, it appears that I was wrong.

(I know I have been sleep deprived since Wednesday but, I just can't imagine any way this proc makes sense for our class.)

I replied to a post on the official forums in regards to this pile of shit and I seriously don't know if I even want to finish the quest. Way to fucking go SOE... Good job on making something that players really want to work their asses off for.... Atleast I'm not nearly as disappointed about working all weekend as I was at the beginning of it.

HAHA I saw some others talking about how this was like the EQ1 epics, well now it truly is, in fact that it is otherwise useless and a waste of time. Atleast the old EQ1 epics looked good.

Spell Damage is the suck for us, for two reasons. First because we don't really want any more spell damage as the feature on our Epic. Second, you can get plenty of spell damage off other items and adorns so that yes, we do get into a cap area, and it's useless.

Healing + lol. No paladin wants that. I could have +45 heal on my gloves, no thanks 16 agility is more useful. Our ward is good when pulling, heals and cure AA great but they are situational. We have the basics, and they are fine no one is going to be a better paladin with + heal amount.

This weapon does not play to our strengths, nor does it give us anything new. The only decent thing about it is the 3% crit and +5 slash lol. Many peeps won't even use this.

Well, lucky for me, my guild will kill Brell and I will get his weapon

I recieved a pm inregards to a post I put up asking about that post, which was also removed. Here is the portion explaining what happened to the original post.

While I understand some in the Paladin community are a bit unhappy with their epic, (thanks for pulling your heads out of the sand for a few seconds) the forum rules are quite clear on the use of the official forums as a staging ground for protests. As the original post in the thread was advocating paladins go "on strike", I was left with little choice but to remove the thread (locking it would have still left the message to everyone).

The developers *are* very interested in feedback -- good as well as bad. You just have to be constructive and courteous in how you present your feedback.

maybe i'll betray to SK...and get some use out of a crusader epic weapon. I just dont understand how this epic reward is worse then 80% of EoF's 1 hander drops..epic?..i can see how they call it epic..i took a shit for 2 hours once..that was pretty epic..so in regards..i gues grinding this quest nonstop for 5 days is like taking a epic shit as well, i mean..i was rewarded with the exact same thing...tho..next time i want a big piece of shit..ill just spend the 2 hours..not the 5 days..thanks..

Well, before you betray, this isnt a "crusader epic" weapon, it is an "un-finished Paladin" weapon, Im sure your realize there will be a final mythical version, that may or may not suck as bad.

I am in no way happy about this version of the weapon, but to be honest, it is amazzing for the nubb who runs around in mastercrafted and legendary gear, maybe that is who this item is geared toward and not the raiders.

The mythical version will still have this shitty effect who doesnt even fit our class ...

Just wait until the Mythical comes out. Until then, complaining is dumb. It's fine for a heroic easy quest (once figured out).
