First things first, the effects Marr's Favor and Touch of life arnt too bad (not saying they are great), that out of the way, the stats on the Mythical version of the Paladin weapon are total trash and truely are a slap in the face to this class.

+10 slashing (the other fighter weapons offensive skills increases and defensive skillls increase, yet we get +10 slashing by itself) this in itself wants me to drop an FU, but im gonna try to keep it clean in hopes that this will get read and considered for a change to bring it up to par with the other fighter classes.

+6 melee crit ( I am sitting at 47 melee crit self-buffed and zero double attack, and why only +6, the other fighter classes are seeing +8 double attack and + 8 melee crit. You guys love putting +spell damage on pally gear and + heals on buffs, why not add +10 spell crit and heal crit?)

+100 combat art damage (Im gonna be blunt here, you can take this and shove it right up your ass with all 6 of the Paladin combat arts that gain +1 when this sword is equipped).

Biggest issue, the lack of any kind of avoidance enhancement (no defense, no shield effectiveness).

If you guys at sony need ideas on how to design items for a class, why not check with a handful of players at the top? One look at this item and I cant help but think the guy who did VP loot obviously designed this while the Monk, Guardian, Beserker, and Bruiser items were clearly designed by the person who did the instance and legendary loot that puts the VP items to shame.

This is a serious attempt to get this item looked at and considered for a change.

If you are having a hard time understand why I am bitching about this, open a link or screenshot and compare all the mythical items, then take a close look at this thing, it doesnt come close to the others, oh and the little clickie is a joke, the original pocket golem would have punched this little puny Holy Avenger in the face in 2 seconds flat. it is a novelty at best and has no usefulness in raids, all in all this is a cute little weapon for someone who solos and farms instances, but I raid everyday, I raid the hard stuff before you guys nerf it for the masses, I need a weapon that is gonna keep up with my guildmates'.

After farming VP till 4 am, im tired and going to bed, I just want to say to everyone in my guild, grats on the leet shit you all got, maybe one day I will get a uber mythical item.

Guess I'm not alone on disappointment on the weapon of all weapon for our class. Reason for me to continue playing EQ2 has fallen and I probably play it for abit but seeing how things are going for paladins don't think my time playing this game will last much longer.

It's very suspicious that Devs don't give anything for avoidance.., since lately some paladins had more avoid than many guardians thanks to the hero line, sod and GDS. But more suspicious, or really stupid, that devs believe that our Marr's proc is so good, in paper, that they haven't given us DA, Spell and Melee crits (Both), etc

Maybe we are n00bs, and don`t see the mega uberness of Marr's Favor or that 10% direct mit and bckup heal :-p

Wtf with Soe?? this weapon is piece of shit !!
First the stats are lame... then they give us a crap 6melee crit and combat damage ... no defensive skills..
The fabled proc buffed up is still the same shitty proc.
And they give us a fucking clicky healer pet .??!!!
Last proc is ok i guess...
So everyother classe have 3 nice procs, cool bonus and stats... and all we get is just 1 proc ....

as a paladin (though i will probably never see that item) I couldn't understand why paladins were so "happy" with it. I mean compared to the guardian weapon who takes one of thier biggest draw backs (the penalty to defense for the buckler line) and removes it. I was kinda hoping something huge like that for this weapon.

I personally would have love to seen a "powerful" proc on it. for example something i came up with is "everytime a paladin uses a heal/ward theres a 25% chance to proc a "divine aura" like spell (without the bullshit 50% of health shit) for 5 seconds.

plus come on give us some damn parry or defense or block chance

The only thing that would be remotely on par with the Guards epic would be imo, 10% block chance and the ability to cast amends raid wide. As far as I am concerned they can remove the bullshit proc they gave us. The clicky looks kool just kinda curious how good it works and what the pet looks like.

Well it's not a bad sword and depending on you're role it can be quite good. If you're an OT this sword supports that role. If you have aspirations of being a MT then IMO this sword doesn't cut it. The stats are weak in comparison to the guardians and widens the gap.
I got called alot of names for saying this but that is the way I see it.

The blade is far from a POS and I look forward to parsing it in the coming week. That said, it does appear out of balance with other melee classes. Double attack would have been great instead of crit, especially since so little fighter gear has it.

It would also be great if the myth version increased the groups dmg/heals also on proc instead of self. If Dirges can CoB and entire raid and coercers and mana flow and entire group... I just don't see how that is unbalanced. Might as well since our role in SOE eyes is obviously one of support. Had they wished us to really be the superior OT we would be wearing VP set pcs instead of T1/2 and heroic mismatched gear.

Also, please quite comparing ours to the warrior epic though. That designer clearly listened to the masses and produced a superior product that will not be replaced for some time. Hats off to them getting exactly what they needed. Our poor designer obviously had issues at home, a sick puppy or possibly a head injury.

First before you guy start bashin the 50%/15% wis proc, do some math on it first i think you will be abit surprised.

Secondly the 10% absorb is dam nice and the 10 % hmm is ok b/c it will only take affect when wards are down but either way it basically is 20% absorb when it matters. That one of the more probs we have had this x-pac is to actually soak up the beats not block,parry,etc w/e but to actually soak them up.

3rd the stats.. this is where most ppl are un happy. + CA dmg for is preeety gimp considering most ppl DO NOT spamm our ca's unless you are usein holy ground or something to the similar effect. Do to the fact they useally do about ol 1k 1.5k on a debuffed mob and your auto attack can easyly do over 3 K per pop. As Madb said why do we only have +6 crit when everyone else get 8 crit/da? I personally was kinda let down abit when i didn't see any kinda of + to block (so that it can truly replace sod) or even parry or def on the item. If this is truly made for the class then give us parry instead of slash b/c we have ZERO self parry buffs.

I trust Madb opinion on the clicky.. I haven't got a chance yet test it out but to me it sounds like wardens fairy allay and if this is the case come the fuck on.

anyhow to sum it up give us stats alittle more fittin and beef up the click pet and we will be happy.

The same two devs did all of the items together.
