I've came to the jungle a few weeks ago with of course like neg 40k synod reet faction, then I did the 35k faction quest which is marked as repeatable but I didn't get it again. I did like all the other quests in the jungle, with the final one to kill the taskmaster and I did a few of the quests in sebilis at the entrance, but each of those only gave 1k faction! bringing me from neg 40k to about 15k pos now. I did the 5k quest where you have to kill iksar in sebilis twice already and got it another time, even it is not marked as repeatable. I have more quests (up to a lvl 83 one) but all are in sebilis and it's very hard to find a group to do these. but even if I finish those timelines I might not reach 40k faction! according to eq2wiki I only have a few quests left to do in there! I get no one repeatable from the frogs!

what am I doing wrong? do I need to do other quests first in the jungle, for another faction or what? please advise!

You started with -40k?!?! That would really suck.

I think when I started I had around 8k Reet faction but I'd done a few quests over the and quite a bit of questing around the Jungle already.

You get Reet faction from all of these.

EDIT: The mender gives an easy and quick grind one I thought Swords to be Swiped. Half dozen or so and I was set.

The repeatable quest gives 5,000 for every time you get a group in sebilis, minimum. If you have trouble getting a few kills in sebilis, then good luck getting to the quest contact inside. Keep going. Damn kids these days; back in eq1 we had some faction grinds, I tell you what. And we liked it!

yeah as said, do swords to be swiped, 8 kills, 5k faction, zone out, pick up repeat done in an hour if you can get a group or guildies to help you. And just to be warned, if you have problems getting help for the early on stuff, good luck getting down into the quest npc twice and then to the slave mines. Luckily that "subquest" is the only real pain in the ass of the fabled line.

well I really hope swords to be swiped is repeatable as it is not marked as one.
I've done most of the others in the timeline already I don't understand why I started with so much neg faction.

Oh and for the record, I've played EQ1 for almost 6 years (Warrior tho) and I did grind a lot, and I mean a lot. But back in those days usually when you killed mobs you got bad faction with one group and good faction with another, now in Kunark you only get a bad faction hit, making it impossible to grind on mobs. It kinda stinks.

The 35k Faction quest is repeatable if your faction drops low enough again after you do it. At least it was befure GU42. I had done that quest and then did the one where you have to kill the skeletons to get the shaman to pop in the crypt area. After losing faction to the skeletons, I was able to get the repeatable again.

The really interesting part I find here is, even after being at max faction with the Synod Reet, the mender still offers Swords to be Swiped, as if I can get ANY BETTER then 50k faction??

I dunno if there is a level limit or not. Seeing as the quests are in the jungle, I would suggest 75+, maybe (I can't remember what level ranges it is in there, tbh). 80 in Seb itself would be handy.
