is it my problem or game mechanics
ok first off a short story, in teir 7 i did decent dps as a paladin (of course most pickup groups were useless so im comparing my dps to what i see on the forums ) pulling about 1200 on raids and maybe 1800 in zones like hof oob etc, normally topping or close to topping the zonewides in 99% of my pickup groups that being said im now 80 all adept 3s minus a couple more useless spells and a master on circuler smite, in tanking gear, im parsing 800-1000,
wtf happened it expecially worrys me when i see my dps pulling a minimum of 2k and often see guards/zerkers pulling about the same. im speced wrath/hero/and got a few points in support line for procs. crusader im speced 4-4-8 int full stamina (either 6 or 7 in melee crit) and full str. so im for the most part dps speced. so my question is how is it after 10 levels my DPS went DOWN. i know their are very few multi tagets these days, but doing less dps at 10 levels higher really makes no since to me. so is it just me or is it game mechanics,
i used to be fairly well respected for my tanking abilitys being able to heal myself through most group zones hold agro and DPS now i dont feel like im doing much of anything except leading a group through some zones holding agro by a fairly small margin (when im doing 1k assasin is doing 4k i normally bounce hate around ) and trying to make good of what dps i can. can anyone give me some suggestions (it really sucks becuase i know all my timers had a great spell order down and nothing seems to work.)

Not alone Onra, after 10 lvls, ppl have lots of "pure" class gear and make x2 or x3 their t7 dps, while us only do a poor x1,5. So that can be seen like a fall in dps.
In heroic instances, the only trick that I use is the "cloth SK" topic, that is, to equip lot of "technically scout, monk and caster" gear, forcing healers to work harder. In raids... it's very difficult to match the "SOE beloved tanks" :-p.
Camphor, it's a hybrid class (Specific crusader one) problem not yet resolved

And try to tank with 2 handers in heroics insts. Last night I did CoA with a fury alone in that manner.
If swass and brigands can do it, we can do it better  .

I seem to DPS just as well as our Bezerker and Guardian on raids when the buffs are equivalent. Last night in Shard of Hate I was DPSing anywhere from 1.8K to 3.9K (lol not matter how hard I tried I couldn't break the 4k barrier last night) depending on how lucky I got with DPS procs from Marr's cloak and STR imbued MC ring and with crits/DAs, and also depending on how bad the zone lag was (at times there was a 2-4 second button lag). This was using Doombringer Pendulum. Using Mythical epic DPS was slightly lower but mainly on the top end.
I think a lot of it is making sure you keep a good set of DPS gear as well as your survivability gear. When you are expected to MT or OT, and be able to pick up after other dead tanks, you have to be careful about not sacrificing your emergency survivability for DPS, but it's less of a problem the more you improve your gear, as you'll find some gear is good for both (Mantle of the Jarsath Tribe for example).
In order to DPS well you really need to keep your DPS mod and haste in the 40-140 range or better, your melee crit should be around 50-60+, your spell crit around 70-80+, and your CA/Spell increased by around 200+ each. Your STR should be around 1000 or higher. Having high INT helps but do not sacrifice the others for it, because you'll fine that spells are a smaller percentage of our DPS than DPS.
In general, DPS mod > DA > melee crit > spell crit. Haste is often a non-issue thanks to group buffs. DPS mod can be tough because you have to have certain classes in your group and/or the right gear choices.

The biggest modifier to my dps as a whole I've found it the +DPS mod; when its low my dps is... when its very high I just swing and crits and damage drops mobs a plenty
Never found anything else that affected my dps so much... just a shame my dps/haste is 15/15 self buffed :/

Are you still using a T7 weapon? You will see a noticable increase by using a T8 weapon, even if you have to suffer a drop in DR to do it. Get a Nathsar and you should be back where you should be ^_^
Also, are you still using T7 M1? Going from T7 M1 to T8 M1 will probably get you a 20% ability damage increase, or a 10% increase in overall dps. +spelldamage and +ca damage mod are both important to improve upon T7 dps as well.

im useing the deklerium cudgle 87 or 88 rating 4 second delay decent weap been waiting on nathsir, im in mostly teir 8 legendary with a few peices of my jewlry i havent replaced yet, all my major damage spells are either teir 8 adept 3s or teir 7 masters 1s, im sitting at about 53% mit and 52% avoidance 80ish spell crit 30ish melee crit like 150 on combat art and spell damage.

Look for anything that has DPS mod on it and use it, including your old cloak of Marr and a mastercrafted imbued ring of strength.
Focus less on Spell Crit, IMO. You should be able to get much higher than 30% melee crit easily just from doing quests and group instances. Look for double attack also. Plenty of DA type items out there to help a little bit, such as the legendary boots you get from the series of dwarf hunting quests in JW, or the Mantle of Jarsath Tribe (fabled drop off Druesella in Maiden's Chamber).
Nathsar will help you increase your DPS but it's not going to do much unless you can get your DPS mod up and your melee crit/DA up a bit more.
There seems to be a growing group of Paladins who overprioritize spells and spell crit IMO. We just don't get as much yield out of it as we do from DPS mod, DA, and melee crit with a good weapon.

THARINOR... that was a good reply, and your right, focusing on spell order and timing auto attacks just isn't as important as getting your right gear up and adorned.
At level 80, a Paladin compared to any other Paladin has the same exact ability to do the same dps/melee/spell/ca damage.
What I am finding out is that while some of you are hitting for 2-3000 zonewide, you have some raid gear, and some really good groups going on. I find that top end gear/non raid, i have the ability to hit 1500 zonewide, but havent been given the opportunity, with warding, spot healing, intercede, and dying due to lack of healer support, so while it's possible, it's not probable. But we will get there, it can only go up from here.
