Tank with 1 hander and symbol or two hander?

heh, not really. But my question to you uber knightly pallys is this. Where can I get a really nice shield without going on raids or killing a contested raid mob? I am garbage and limited only to instance runs but I've yet to see a shield drop. You guys able to tell me where I may find one? I'm currently useing the Dragonic Reflector from Labs raid. Thanks guys.

Oh, also, do any of you konw where the plate chest item drops taht has the "Dispersion" effect on it? It has a 10% chance to absorbs 1 attack and increases group mana.

Any info would be stellar for my ears.

Well if you can afford it the Shield of the Green dragon is the bomb (can prolly pick one up for 100-200p depending on what a guilds selling it for (if they are selling it(youll have to get lucky))) Also the new MC shields arnt bad, specifically the kite shield with Firesong (Rilissian Elite Targ Shield)

Also out of one of the JW instances (Either MC or Vaults (forget which one)) there is a decent spell damage shield with a nice amount of protection on it. But for tanking i would prolly go sword and board unless your raid equipped with some decent gear.

As for the BP i know what your talking about but i forget what the exact name is.

Thanks, I find the Dragonic deflector to be a bit better then the 77 MC shield, but you guys think differant? And the BP, i'm just wondering where it drops.

BTW, the title of the post was a joke hehe. I have the mace from Kor-Sha for my one hander it's pretty hawt.

2nd Lopann got it right for the shields, the firesong MC one is pretty nice, but there is a half decent one that drops off Dominus Ganak and well Shield of the Green Dragon is overpowered. Most servers hold pickup groups for almost all that stuff nowadays, even if you think you are crap it shouldnt be too hard to get either of those.

I think the BP drops off the mushroom king guy in the mine area of Sebillis. Not completely sure about that. There's also a decent shield that drops off a named captain or something there just before you get to the entrance to Venril Sathir's Lair. Queen in Chardok has a chance to drop a decent shield called Royal Argent Aegis, and there's a decent protection shield that drops off one or two of the named mobs in Vault of Eternal Sleep.

Green Dragon Shield is the way to go though if you can get it. 2nd best shield in the game behind the shield from Trakanon in terms of survivability. It drops off Severilous in Kunzar Jungle who perches over near City of Mist, a x2 contested dragon with a roughly 3 day respawn (can be up in multiple instances of KJ if there's more than one instance active). It's tradable so if anyone is farming the shield they can easily be sold on broker or level chat.

How are you not able to raid. 4 of the new raid zones are as fast as or faster to do than instances?

I've seen a decent looking shield drop of of Vdeers maybe, and something in teh vaults, I think it actually has 2 spell crit. but the green dragon shield is the way to go. I've killed it with 5 in a group while I was tanking and 2 boxxing a healer. You could easilly get a pick up group to go for it, but limit the number of tanks in your group / raid.

Not saying it will be a walk in the park ( his fear is the biggest obsticle) and i think some sort of dot, however the mob is fairly easy as an x2 could certainly lay the smack down on it.

As said, Shield of the Green Dragon is definitely 'the' choice. Still working to get one (and the Righteous Barrier from Demetrius Crane in SoH).
