Re: hate/staying alive problems
Not a lot of ranged pulling in RE2, but when I do, its always Verdict + Excoriation (macro'ed) - the rest is Prayer + body pull.
These dudes hit hard in RE2 - lots of double attacks, AoE double attacks, etc... so the healers have to be on their toes. I've been in a few PuGs where the healing is not up to snuff and my health is usually running in the red or yellow - even while healing myself. This is a good instance to figure out who the lazy healers on the server are, that's for sure.
As for hate, I find it tough at times to manage between a chain dps'er and a clothie. Good burst dps from the chain wearer, but when the big nukes hit (and aren't resisted) hate can flip-flop. For the most part, I amends the clothie and get off Rescue or Holy Ground when/if the Scout peels - seeing as they can usually take a hit or two. Stoneskinned-equipped casters will also buy you an extra hit or 2.
BTW, Gleete = da MAN!

Hey. You can now edit posts a bajillion hours after the fact.
I think that represents the final death throes of 'Flames.
BTW, Andy Gibb will rise from the grave and kill you.

Re: hate/staying alive problems
Had similar Hate issues in RE2~ the clothie was topping the parses for the most part, but I would lose aggro when the pimped Ranger double-attacked at certain points in the fight. In the end- like Vainamoinen- I kept Amends on the clothie because the Ranger could take a hit or two, hopefully giving me a few seconds to use Rescue or Holy Ground. He's used to dying anyways.

A good amends target needs to be spot on with damage for EVERY encounter. It gets frustrating when an amends target decides to semi-afk, or just not try.

As a warlock, in a fast moving group, it's not for lack of trying, it's usually that my good shit still has the recast timers still counting down

Question for PM response. Isn't the extended edit a +1k post perk? I'd wager, you lost ads too?
Carry on.

Re: hate/staying alive problems
Hey guys just a quick question for ya along the same lines as the OP. I pretty much just blamed myself for being poorly equipped when I died repeatedly in RE2, but maybe it was just the healers slacking after reading some these replys. In defensive stance self buffed with my ideal gear on that I have to provide suvivablity and enough dps to hold aggro easily, I am at 4456 54.5% mit and 10092 60.5% avoidance with Base: 33.8%, block 26.6%, parry 18.7%.
Should that be ample for an 80 defiler and 80 fury to keep alive in there?

if your talking about heroic instances that is more than enough and your healers are slacking
