Its a great weapon, don't get me wrong. It just irks me that they would "tweak" it and ignore the crux of the problem.

It also kind of bugs me that these weapons are meant to be class defining, yet it looks like they just threw darts at a stat/bonus board and slapped it on many of them. The guardian weapon is what I would call the quintessential class-defining weapon of the lot - it alters an AA ability and it builds on the fundamental defense that all fighters should have. I'm not saying it is a better weapon, per se, I am just saying that it looks like more thought went in to how Vel'Arak was going to compliment the guardian class. I really would have liked to see a bonus on every mythical that directly improves an AA ability, or an important spell/CA.

I don't feel too bad for Zerkers, really. I do, however, wonder how SKs can continue to tolerate their lack of a real role.

I've decided that I'm going to get one now. I keep trying to come back to EQ2 but, I seem to get distracted with things that are more fun... I have a goal ingame... this is inspiring.

the longer delay, damage proc and high damage range are welcome improvements, but lets talk about how this weapon manages to fail even in its revamp.

* Should now give both spell and combat art damage bonuses

when i first read this, i was under the impression that it would ADD +CA damage to our spell proc 'marr's favor', even that didnt impress me so much, our CA range isnt very high and we wouldent get that much of a dps boost out of it, instead what we got was EVEN MORE +SPELL DAMAGE. i dont know how many of you vp clearing mythical'ed paladins out there realize this, but our set armor alone practically caps us out on +spell damage, our mythical proc will almost ALWAYS cap us at the spell damage cap, adding more spell damage at this point is OVERKILL, as it stands, having even 400 +spell damage will cap out almost all of your spells, meaning the extra spell damage you recieve from marr's favor is nullified and all you got to look forward to then is even more horrible heal mod.

i am a firm believer that this is the most horrible epic effect in the entire game. a little asshole pops out, hits a mob for maybe 300 for about 15 seconds and then heals everyone in the raid for about 200 (assuming your healers are terrible and dont know how to keep your groups topped off) not only that, but the recast is a half hour, i would rather have anything besides this effect, i would rather have an effect that instantly killed me so i could reset mobs faster after a wipe, even that would be more useful than this pos garbage crap.

when i first saw my epic weapon, i didnt look at the effects first, i didnt look at the stats, i didnt even look at the name. the first thing i looked at was the empty space between all of my stats and the 3 garbage effects we have on our epic. i told myself that if they didnt put block chance on my epic i wouldent use it over soulfire, i didnt go through with it, but i still shook my fist at the sky and threw down some damning F-bombs.



looking at the more precise, better planned epics, i was sore over the whole having a garbage epic thing. at least theres always someone out there that can remind me that we have 20?!?>!E% DAMAGEW ABSORPTION, even though that math only works if your dumb enough to believe our epic is actually good. you probably judge how good an epic is by how much it glows too you stupid fuck. infact, you probably designed our epic you big retarded asshole.

Our mythical = blows.

They took the time to "adjust" the other mythicals, but left ours a PoS.

I guess they're hoping that all 5 raiding crusaders left will delete their accounts so they can just remove the class from the game and not have to waste the extra 5 god damn minutes they had to pay the devs to copy and paste a useless spell onto our "mythical."

If it is doing any damage or healing in a raid, you MUST be refering to T1

I have been informed that the Devs have been seeking opinions from some players about possible game improvements, one of them plays a Paladin main (although no SK main is apparent). One can only hope that this is a good sign...

This refers to players not Devs ie no player has an SK main, not a Dev. "one of them" = the players.

There is actually a Dev who plays an SK main, as well as one who plays a Pal main.

I only passed this on as a potential ray of hope. Some time ago (was it Onra, Oisen?) someone mentioned the Devs were looking at the epics again and we set up feedback threads on the Epic both here and on the SOE Paladin forum in the hope that it would help the process.

Nothing much happened from that apparently. The 6 second delay issue came from a Dev that was looking at changing crafted weapons delay for Crusaders and ended up as an Epic tweak (my interpretation of events).

I have no special information that anything definite will come from this process either.
