Default Faith Strike's bugged?

Heal hitting hard cap of 364 when it should be 436.

Odd... considering mine heals 382 @ AD3 :P

Reguardless... +heals won't affect the amount healed only the level of the ability will do that.

Oh.

Hard cap calculated by base CA heal amount not including AA % increase.

Note to self: don't look at ACT when half asleep.

PS - No matter what your CA says the M2 hard cap for Faith Strike is 375.

Faith Strike M1 Displays 436 heals.

In ACT with 101-126% melee crit (the heal crits based off if the melee attack does) it is always healing me for 473 (crit) unless I am closer than that to 100% HP.

Not sure the issue you are having with it?

M1 Faith Strike can crit for more than 364, which is apparently the hard cap on the heal @ M1. M2 the hard cap is 375.

The CA displays the heal hard cap as if it were being calculated after the 100% increase from AA, but the hard cap is actually being calculated based on the heal amount of the CA before the AA increase, so it it misleading.

Faith Strike M1 base heal amount w/ AA: 291

(291 / 2) + 291 = 436 <- displayed hard cap

Faith Strike M1 base heal amount w/o AA: 146

(146 / 2) + 291 = 364 <- actual hard cap

Am I wrong in thinking that the bottom example isn't the way the hard cap should be being calculated?

Aren't ability hard caps 1.5x the base of the ability? So the 100% increase to Faith Strike isn't increasing the base heal amount, and the hard cap is being determined as the increased amount plus 0.5 x the "actual" base amount.

Is that the way all hard caps are determined with % increase AA's?

Lets go back to the start and point out that remember that hold on... +heals have NOTHING WHAT SO EVER to do with increaseing lifetap heals.

Its in much the same way +spell have no effect on our procs.

Toggle on your +heals buff and see for yourself; all that increase them are crits and mastery of ability.

I know, that's not what I'm talking about. Faith Strike's heal can be boosted with +CA damage gear.

Anyway, to simplify, the CA says it heals for 436 when in fact it only heals for 364. They should either fix the description or the heal amount.

I was working with Galavant last week on this, and something is buggy. With no +Ca items on, the Faith strike works as intended, when you apply additional +CA gear on, it increases the heal of the "lifetap" portion similar to a normal heal spell is boosted by +heals. I guess the question is, is +CA suppose to increase the lifetap heal, and if so, what is the real cap on boosted heal of the lifetap with +CA gear on? On Act parses, i either have 364 or i think 473 on a crit with Master 1 Faith Strike. Would be nice to know if it is a display bug on the examine of the CA or if the Devs forgot we have a AA ability that boosts it alot and did not carry a zero someplace...:-)
