Curry is a type of seasoning, so it's weird hearing a dish called a curry. We have plenty of Asian/Indian type restaurants in the states, so we eat plenty of different types of curry dishes.

the runnyeye tradable buckler gives 2 melee crit 4 double attack and 20 combat art damage.. why would you even consider this shield?

Because:

a: +CA is quite often capped, especially when you are using your epic
b: the ghostly guard gives more +DA
c: Who needs more melee crit - I'm still missing items myself but I can get 91% melee crit with a bard.
d: It offers more protection than the other buckler and if you are balancing survivability with offensenve it works betetr than the other buckler.

lol what he said was a load of crap with no basis.. ca isn't always capped 2 extra melee crit is better than 1 extra da (EVEN AT 91) and the survivability is NEGLIGIBLE you are not tanking with either of these on and if you are i'm sorry...
