Something to add to the parse thoughts. I don't have the original post handy but it's important to know what kind of proc buffs are going on and which abilties/spells proc what.
Best thread I could find on this, and it may be outdated, is located here:
Archonix's Guide to EQ2 Equipment Proc Triggers
"any successful attack" = melee, CA, ranged, and spells
"a successful attack" = melee, CA, and ranged
"a successful melee attack" = melee and CA
So for example, Righteous Weapon = successful melee attack = chance to proc on melee and CAs only.
On the other hand, Call to Redemption = a successful attack = melee, ranged, and CAs, unless it's a typo (certainly makes it more useful as a group buff with a ranger present or if it's a ranged fight).
So, if you're in a situation of Precision of Maestro and Chime of Blades being up a the same time, you end up having to prioritize abilities based on what could possibly give you the most damage output.
Chime of Blades for example = a successful attack = melee, ranged, and CAs (always hit, is not a % chance to proc).
Precision of the Maestro = successful hostile spell, and also always procs (not a % chance).
However, if both of these are active, and you have a choice between what attacks to use, I would say that you should prioritize CAs first (ignoring whether it's a group encounter, and ignoring other factors). Reasoning behind this is that not only will your CAs proc CoB, they will also have a chance to proc Rigteous Weapon and Call to Redemption. On the other hand, PoM will not proc either of these and will only proc PoM (again, ignoring the presence of other spell procs).
So some care should be taken if you're trying to min/max your parses on how to prioritize your abilities not just based on their own damage but on what proc buffs are active and what procs what.
