I wasn't speaking about aoe fights.. was referring to single target spec only (which tbh when it comes to most of the raid content it's mostley singles) so ofc i'll keep smite evil on the other spec where i got also trample in there

but honestly on single target stuff i just feel it's waste of time and having both cure and arch heal might be more useful (because i will never give up on hero line).

yea I am in love with Cure .. saves money on pots. Love when group is feared.. hit Aura of Crusader to shed the fear then hit Cure Macro on Svanna (wife templar) . Makes life easy mode. I only wish it cured trauma as well.

After change my crusader tree will be:
STR 4 4 6 8 2
STA 4 4 6 8 2
INT 4 4 6 5

IMHO the extra heal crit is worth it for both tanking and for the extra hate when they crit. I did toy with loosing divine aura and taking mele crit from 6 to 5 and pulling the full 8 in heal crit.

Divine Aura will do much more for you then that extra heal crit yo, keep DA and leave less points in the heals......

.. and besides... you can get a decent amount of heal crits from group buffs (Chanter , Bard) and gear (lot of heal crit on our TSO relic). I will not deny heal crit are good.. they are; but as stone says Divine Aura however limited is worth more than 12% heal crit.

With the lack of emergancy saves that a pally has the heals on both yourself and your group are invaluable compared to the three healers and your enchanter that can cure your arcane effect on only certain fights.

We raid the high end content which I agree thier are a lot more detriments and having the arcane may be justifyable if it was group, but the recast times on your heals and giving your healers a second or two to regain thier footing compared to an enchanter that should be covering your arcane cures or even a healers group arcane cure is hardly worth it.

tbh, when I have to MT and go under 25% life, i use Loh+ Ward+ single heal and if this doesn't give enough time for healers to save me, I don't think an additional archealing really will.

On the other hand, even if most of the healers in my guild are reactive enough with the cures, I still use my cure as often as I can on me when I MT so they can spend more time healing and less curing.

Regardless of the fact thats it only 50% of max hp and below, Divine Aura is still a very useful tool when tanking. 10 Seconds for your healers to get cured, catch up, get rezzed, get back from a kb, stop tabbing out to look at porn or w/e the fuck the reason is that they let you spike to red. Is it perfect, no. But it is what we get so use it.....
