Im not going to go technical, cause frankly.. I don't know how
I solo'ed skyfire writs last night, and just walked around beating the crap out of everything i saw. I had points in trample, the agi line 40% auto attack ae. I usually run around with out divine aura, but decided to try that and heal crits last night.
The first run, I did it with aoe trample, and completely obliterated the entire JW mobs 2-3 sometimes 4 at a time, wiht just my usual set up, full str, 4,4,8 agi,sta, 4,4,5 int. NO divine aura and no crit heals.
Just ran straight to my mob, pulling anything that got in the way, if it leashed, fine, if not, just fight it. I did just fine, averaging 2.5-3.5 k (epic weapon, full tso tier 2 legendary, all 6 pieces).
Now, i went back and respecced, and took divine aura and 5 heal crit points, so no agi, meaning no trample.
Still obliterated the entire zone but in a different way...my dps was way lower, but my health was amazing, i would be at 50%, without divine aura, hit quick heal and group heal (shadow points in group heal) and was at 95% everytime, it got to be a pattern, when i hit 55% i would hit those two heals, and leave my sacrament of bayle and holy touch for emergencies... It got to the point where i would grab 4-5 at a time just to use divine aura, making me wish i had my trample back to make the fight go quicker. My dps was lowered, but my survivability rocked. As you would expect.
So when you say, keep divine aura, or put points in heal, or you should do trample for aoe... its tough. voes/coa, maidens, you want trample, all TSO zones you want trample for trash mobs, and divine aura for named, so its tough I personally am playing without Divine Aura in favor of the agi line because we have outstanding healers.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS, cause in a main tank role guys, your aa set up with heal crit is a definite plus in raid zones, most are single target anyway, and its really nice. We did Nexona last night, didn't kill it, but the set up was perfect.

Question, spell crit.. what is the difference between 70% and 54%. I know its 16% but you have to choose between 8 points in trample and 8 points in spell crit. I took trample and my dps is nice. But I do not know how to compare the extra percentage of spell crit/vs ae auto attack damage. Can anyone help on that?

Im talking about for Main Tanking raids, not killing 3 trash mobs in Jarsath Wastes....

Funny, i caught that, 15% instead of 16%, and i realize your talking about main tank raiding, but not all are single encounter, some are multiple adds coming in, and the spell crit vs 40% ae question still applies.. thanks

Getting rid of spell crit in favor of trample is kind of counter-productive. If you are looking for aoe dps or aggro for that matter a lot of your aoes are spells. So you won't be getting close to the same amount of crits on your spells are you do without points in the Intelligence line. You take away crits from all those aoes and I guarantee you will see a big drop in your damage output, regardless of trample or not.

Theres a reason that max spell crit is pretty much a staple in the Crusader Tree, its just too good not to get. People may vary on Agility Line or Stamina Line but just about everybody uses Strength Line and puts points into spell crits, and thats the reason why.....

Another thing to consider on spell crits besides the boost to OUR AOES and the few single taregt spells we have is the fact spell crit modifies damage on all procs. Procs from our gear and procs we cast on ourself and procs we recieve from others. The more gear you gain with procs and the more buffs you recieve will make more dps on a max spell crit aa then 2 more points in trample. The exception to this would be if you are not well geared and like to solo alot or way past the spell crit cap...:-)
