CURE LINE (Paladin tree)
REQUEST OF CHANGE:
Currently I use the cure line in my dps mode for raids as I am the third tank in the raid. MT and OT go down, we are set up for me to hold it for a few seconds while we get MT up, then OT. All other times, I have proven my dps ability to keep a utility role in a raid.
Due to the changes of TSO content, the stuns, stifles, trauma, noxious, and so are just packed into most zones, it makes it really fricking annoying when you bring one healer to a group ( as usual) and he can only de-detrimental effect you so often.
We were given aura of the crusader which is a major plus, and i think it was very appropriate for our class.
In the developer feedback forums on eq2players, BOLI made a comment to (said developer-which we don't name anymore) who i think is doing a good job of listening to you all, and trying to make the appropriate changes. He informed the developers of this:
WITH CHANGES TO FIGHTER AGGRO, IF GETTING "PING-PONG'D" AROUND THE ROOM WHILE STUNNED, STIFLED, TRAUMA, NOXIOUS, ETC, THE ENTIRE GROUP WILL GO DOWN QUICK BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT GET AGGRO BUILT.
**** ****
Now, we had amends, which made it possible to get stunned, stifled, and so on by the mob, and your damage dealer you had amends on could still build you aggro. With the change,
PLEASE ADJUST CURE LINE ACCORDINGLY,
it has a major advantage to all arcane damage, but as you can read on the cure line ability, it is for arcane damage, not others, so while it's useful in a all roles and mobs with arcane, this should reflect noxious, trauma as well since we have to be able to taunt to keep aggro, (can't do that while stunned) Sure aura of the crusader rocks, but if you want to spend 22 points in cure line, please let the cure be more effective since amends will be changed.
this is my opinion.

3rd Tank!!!? To whom.... your a paladin for god sakes. Step up and take over already would ya!
Adjusting the cure to handle all 4 types of detrimentals would be quite nice.

Re: CURE LINE (Paladin tree)
It works on elemental and noxious as well as arcane. Just not trauma. I agree it should do all 4 in this day and age (since the advent of cure spells for healers).

Re: CURE LINE (Paladin tree)
Works for all cures except trama, curse, and uncurable.
Uncurable is the one I have the biggest gripe with.. its SoEs way of "cheating" making somethign much harder than it actually is and you rely more upon blind luck than skill.

Re: CURE LINE (Paladin tree)
damn it kiljoi.. how did i know you would say something like that.. no.. look at me as a dps role really, not a 3rd tank, i feel so ... unimportant when you say that.
I have no mythical, and we have 2 sk's for mt/ot.. our mt is epic, and ot is mythical.
so...there is some issues with that but its still fun, and im just happy to be raiding.
I guess the elemental i was trying to cure was uncurable, so maybe you could pigeon hole the answer a bit, such as venril/ or in vp.. what is curable with the cure line, ( i do use it, just not sure what it cures sometimes ,

Re: CURE LINE (Paladin tree)
one has mythical, and one is just plain really good
(i did beat him dueling twice, but he just took me down this week)
no.. really, he is good at his game, and this is my first 80, still learning lots
casual raiding guild, only doing vp twice a week right now.

I hear ya Nan, my first raid role ever was deagroing a ranger 5 lvls above me so he wouldnt rip from the zerker mt lol...(simpler times lulz)
but gdi, you find yer inner paladin and go wtfpwn that raid force when your ready...
mythical or not!... just use brute force... fine go as dps, rip agro every 3seconds and youll find yourself buffed and MT in no time

Re: CURE LINE (Paladin tree)
I have a quick questiong conserning the cure line. The support ability allows you to enhance Castigate to have an enlarged radius by 5 meters what is the normal castigate radius? Is it even worth putting points into or is the range already large enough? I only ask because when inspecting Castigate it does not say the range of the spell :/
