zomg thats funny less time developing. That's just been implanted in my head.

OK, so.. as you all know, i try everything you post, and I tried to macro the taunt spam. FAIL BOAT HAS SAILED
This was just a dumb idea in my opinion, you cant really see what is up unless you macro the taunts, but why use all 3 taunts in macro if you don't need it. social encounters bring you serious dps not many can match at the beginning, hitting with excoriation, conviction, smite evil, doom rays, crimson circle. that is my order and wtf do i need to taunt in there for?
Plus, you have to put the taunts on your bar singled anyway, so you know what taunts are up to use.
This post should be closed and we need to move on
Wait... the flaming is fun though, <<< gets more popcorn and bon'bon's

You realize this is in reference to the test changes, right?

Yes with the amends changing and stuff, but still, a macro doesnt show you when the spells are up and down, so you still have to have them up on your hot bar to see. Instead of blindly hitting the one macro'ed button and hoping something is up.
Personally, the second faithful cry is up, i want to be hitting it, as well as a few others. Just can't see using a macro like that in any situation. Just my opinion there.

I think you missed the point of the macro and the original thread.

I reread it, and i think I got it, I do realize that the holding aggro is going to be challenging for sure, leading toward what the Paladin class will face with the changing of amends, but the idea of making it simpler i got for sure. I apolgize for getting off topic, my replies have come from the posters reply saying that the macro for taunts would simplify the Paladins ease of holding aggro. That is the only thing I am replying on, apologies for derailing the thread
Nothing to see here folks.. move along now
EDIT:
I see where you are going now, yes, the point was to make one macro keeping your most effective one in place, but to clarify for me, the Paladin class seems to need more situational taunting, such as not using faithful cry over excoriation for multi target shots. Just my opinion stating that we kind of need more situational taunting it seems.

I wouldn't say that the tauntspam macro would work for Pallies, not run any numbers but that's my gut instinct. Longer pally cast-times make this less viable, also your longer delay weapon makes auto-attack timing have far less impact on the effectiveness of your taunts.

The guard one was kinda overkill as most of you can probably see. The first 5 abilities (Impede, Lay Waste, Gut Kick, Infraction and Guard) alone in a macro would achieve 90% efficiency. Having the CAs on there would not be optimal (as the CAs limited hate-effectiveness does not make it worth-while delaying an auto-attack swing) but it is not all that ineffective compared to timing the CAs.

So it's not really the most effective way for a pally to tank, even in a raid trash environment (minimum variables, no adds, single mobs).

However the primary single target taunt is still a bitch, it's recast is far too fast to be effectively used manually, they ability will have to be macroed.

"have" to be macroed, because of a 5 second recast?

Don't roll an illusionist, just sayin'.

It's a bit different,
Illu, standing somewhere, pushing buttons.
Paladin, tanking, where is the mob, where is the raid, status of my lifepoints, and... is the 5 sec. Tauntnuke up again?

Has anyone thought about Paladin-Jester Cap Pull?
Pressing Taunt every 2,5 seconds. Should give a nice starting aggro.
