Still curious why the INquistor seems to solo heal me way better then any other class, can you guys explain that? I did Guk halls, the easier one, and went in with a mythical'd Inq, wiz, conj, and only epic Pally(me), coercer, ranger.
I explained at the beginning that I have never been solo healed in Guk and the kick ass Inquisitor said, 'no worries, i got you", and he was amazing. But I started grouping with PUG INquisitors just to try out some other ones, and none of them seem to let my health go down... so... Inquisitor over Defiler? reasons if you can. thanks

no.. you have not seen enough good defilers.. although good inqs can substitute for heroic content and do exceptional

The inquisitor was probably a better player. Skill and gear being equal I would take a Defiler to that zone over an inquisitor. Fuck them both and roll with a templar though tbh......

Ran this weekend into mistmyr manor with this group:

Warden
Coercer
Dirge
Wizard

I told the guys I normally group with that I wanted to build a "Paladin group" because i wanted to see the difference.
I hit my first 9.5k auto attack.
zone wide average was 3.2k. Never been that high TSO zones.
Everything was just insane, hitting 5k parses on some socials of 4. I did have full str line, plus 4,4,8 agi, 4,4,8 int for spell crit and ae auto attack, and i think it left 5 points in melee crit. Using all t2 TSO legendary, full set of void darknight. half fabled everywhere else from TSO named.

I was surprised the difference that building a group around my needs helps dramatically. To be honest, I don't think i remember the last time i started a group. I usually just run around and take random invites from friends who need a tank and enjoy whatever it offers. I am going to chat with the raid leader about building this group for the VP raids we are doing. So close to my mythical, just in the next wing

Last question on this, why are you split on Illy/coercer? Coercer tanking/illy dps is the general guide?

lol, and here i thought we were talking realistic groups. yes with 2 bards and 2 enchanters in your group, gonna be a good group for us dps-wise... but ffs thatd never happen. unless your raid has 16 bards/enchanters.

All interesting ideas guys and gals, but still trying to figure out why most of you are dismissing Mystics?? Having both a Myth Paladin and Myth Mystic, I've found the only 2 instances I haven't been able to solo heal on the mystic are YOS and PoF. I can normally, without major effort, top the heal parse with both a Myth Defiler and a Myth Templar in the raid and in the MT group, so I'm really confused why the mystics get dumped so easily.

OH and BTW, both the temp and Defiler are good players, so that's not the reasoning. I like the thread, just kinda confused at the direction of some of it.

we're not talking about just heals here ana.. we're talking about upping our parse in the process.. an inq is the absolute best for that

Absolutely. The thread basically says what is the best possible group make up for Paladins, focus started on dps, then survivability, back to dps I don't think anyone is counting out Mystics at all. I love a Mystic when I am doing all the Everfrost/Commonlands zones, I just don't know if it's because we are geared well enough that it doesn't matter? Or they are just that good
At this point, I just ask if the healer is decent, and can solo heal. I feel my suvivability is pretty good right now.
