Default Re: What is the best possible group makeup for a Paladin?

I usually group with (all have their mythical):
Assassin
Assassin/Coercer/Illy
Defiler
Dirge
Bruiser/Wizard/DPS/second healer
Paladin (me, of course!)

For healing, the defiler is awesome. I have never had an issue with the defiler unless I was receiving spike damage before I had my T2 set (no crit mit or set bonuses) or mythical. But ya, it's mostly player skill. I sometimes group with an Inq or warden as a second healer and they do great too.

My groups always start with the same 4 classes:

Paladin
Templar
Coercer
Dirge

We just toss in whatever we get for last two spots without really caring. Due to player skill, this is pretty much the best set-up available to me for both survivability and DPS. For last two spots, we just toss in whatever, possibly adding a 2nd healer if the templar wants to be lazy for a day.

I once had Illusionist, Fury, Inquisitor. That might have been the best offensive buff combo ever. Too bad we were doing low green quests in SoS (before kunark release).

Well basically Nanjee you need to realize what's going to help you the most for a desired result. If you want to see bigger auto attack swings on mobs, you need to up your DPS modifier. There are various classes that can buff this. Fury, Inquisitor, Dirge, Coercer, Berserkers, Shadowknights (with deathmarch). Some of those classes provide proc buffs which aren't up all the time, some provide a steady, realiable bonus.

The other thing that will help as mentioned before is the mob being debuffed and your own str.

If you're going for double attack modifiers, your best bet is illusionist and mystic.

I generally try and have 2 different types of set ups. Either a melee group or a caster group.

Melee group my favorite is paladin, cleric, swashy, brigand, dirge, predator (or a second healer for really hard stuff)

Caster group I like paladin, warlock, wizard, illusionist, troubador, cleric.

Generally in either group you will do fine, but I love caster groups because it's fun to watch silkies go all out and melt mobs faces. That and with that group you can pull whole rooms and have a good time.

I like templars over inquisitors generally because templars have so many healing tips and tricks. In those groups the dps generally takes care of itself, so the healer just needs to keep people alive basically

Well, that's some good information. I have spent most of my grouping life with one to two healers, wizard, conjuror, ranger, swashy. Hardly ever see a dirge, but since i got my myth, amazing how they come out now lol
We did Kor'sha last night solo healed, but I think we had the strat wrong for the Emporer, but at least i got my update
Had a non myth'd mystic, did awesome all zone, but the guys werent getting the elemental cures off on themselves, healer and i were ok, but well get him next time
Thanks for the info.
