Default Hotbar setup / Order

I was wondering if people would post how their hotbars are setup. Primarily the main hotbar. The reason I am asking is because I am having a little trouble getting my DPS up. I can do 3 to 3.5K with spikes to 4.5K. I have read and reread the efficiency list thread and am getting so confused now that the last time I tried to make changes to my spell/ca order I ended up cutting my DPS to 2k if I was lucky and spent a couple hours to get it back up to the 3K in groups. I feel I should be doing more DPS than 3K in groups and I know I should be doing more than around 2.3K on a training Dummy but I also know I have my order so screwed up right now and could use some help getting it back in line.ThanksNarvi

CA and spell order means feckall... just maintain your debuff, hit swift axe and refusal every times its up and don't interupt your autoattack swings.

Heck just to prove a point I did nothing but autoattack for an entire zone on trash and did 5.6k ZW. our CAs are pathetically small and don;t add much at all... enhance your autoatatck untill you have procs and DAs coming out of your ears and watch the numbers fly.

Main thing is to time your auto attack. Download advanced combat tracker, install a plugin called doubleattack.cs and it will beep at u every attack until you get on top of the timing. High ranges of DPS scores means some times your getting lucky and timing it right and somtimes your missing it and delaying auto attack.

I dissagree slightly with boli here, I do feel ca / spell order is somewhat important on a mob that is going to take a while to kill. It becomes less important as the frequency and speed of kills increases, but on a mob that takes a while to kill i would argue that you need to get faithfull cry and Holy strike off as soon as possible and make sure that as well as swift axe and refusal these are always cast each time there up as they tick damage.

Read what every spell does as well, remember Break will is a high damage spell vs undead so needs to be earlier on this type of mob.

When the tank changes come the cast order is going to change, well be casting based on the threat ammount as well. The kick and circular smite are getting hate components. In a group of mobs situation for example you will want to cast circular smite every time its up.

As for icon grouping, its horses for courses. I preffere to group my ca's together, my taunts together, my aoe's together and my spells together and my heals together and my death saves / aura of the crusader together, in the heat of battle with mob positioning I like to have a line of ca's that I can cast while moving as you will notice spells cannot be cast on the move whereas ca's can.

For Pre TSO raiders, Double attack items are harder to come by that have enough other stats to make them worth while.
I could easily go for 10 peices of gear with+2 or +3 double attack but it's all legendary or fabled with crap stats. Is it worth it to start building up the double attack over strength gear? This goes back to the choices in aa, str=double attack, agi=aoe auto attack, sta=melee crit, int= spell crit. All are pretty important and especially cruising through TSO zones, the agi aoe auto attack is pretty good.
To piggy back his post, I am assuming he does not have his mythical either, because my training dummy is around that as well, but i am able to hit higher in groups. I'm just not sure what it's worth to replace to get double attack gear.
My casting order hot bar looks like this though for single target trash, and just for trash.

EDIT: makes no sense to write it out in hot bar fashion, lets me explain my casting order so I can get some help as well

single target pulls: assuming pug group instance prepared for a named. All spells up.
sigil of heroism / stonewall / ward (give 10 seconds warning to group, then i start casting this until the mob gets to me.
range / faithful cry - (gets the mob to you)
clarion/ shield bash as soon as mob gets to me
swift axe /EXCORIATION (everytime its up) consecration, judgement, faithful swing
ward should be up again
DIVINE DAMAGE single spells timed with aa
but always using WARD/EXCORIATION/FAITHFUL CRY/REFUSAL OF ATONEMENT every time those are up.
Everything else to me is filler though, hammer ground, legionairres smite.
i am not off of work way early yeay,
Looking forward to seeing some other orders though, now that TSO is out, the last thread regarding this was outdated.

Here's my order... and I warn you now I am horrible at spelling/remebering the name of spells so... AA = Auto Attack

Exonoration/Faithful Cry
AA
Swift Axe/ our dot
AA
2 CAs/spells
AA
2 CAs/spells
AA
2 CA/spells
AA
Exonoration/Swift Axe
etc..

And my hotbar is setup to help with the rotation, but its also setup cause I do a mix of clicking/keyboard commands... If I get around to it ill post a pic

meh.. i do not like leading off with faithful cry.. the mob is not debuffed and you're risking it getting parried..

i wait a few ticks into the fight before hitting it and refusal.. why use refusal and hit for 4k when it could be hitting for 7.. unlikely in most groups you'll get it twice in a fight..

but hell i never stop when i'm pulling so its not like i lead off with anything particular.. usually my bow then taunts or verdict then taunts then start reeling off my weaker cas and then hit my big stuff..

sounds to me like you're missing your auto attack.. or you're just not taking into account your group setups/zones which make a huge impact on your dps

also keep in mind what your haste is.. if i have an illy in my group i try to get 2-3 cas in between each swing.. i can get 3 in pretty often.. only newbs waste time waiting on an auto attack if you have time to get another quick ca before it hits..

without as much haste in the group i'll go for 4 quick ones or a long/quick or medium/medium...

eh i also like to use taunts right after i'm done with my cas they don't interrupt my auto attack so might as well get them in..

the way i do.. would take some practice.. so i don't recommend it unless you're good at not screwing up on clicking or getting confused at certain points in the fight and panick clicking

I have always found it easiestway is to put the hot bar clikies in order of their recast timers so slowest far right to fastest far left for example and have sensible groupings such as all the aoe types together again in re casting timer order. Then you can basically work right to left slowly and by the time you get to the end the slowest one is up again.

You need to work on your timing so your not disrupting your autoattack as if you mash the buttons too fast you will actually reduce your DPS (Not that this is going to matter much after the live update). If you really want to get into this run ACT with the timer add in this will beep at you and allow you to time your other nuke etc.

At the end of the day you can have them wherever you feel comfortable as long as you know where they are when you need them.

Did not even think about the debuff not going in at first, so bow pulling would be best, using a melee crit , just happens to have range crit anyway. Decree isn't a high damage spell anyway, so i do waste it on distance pulls single target, again, thanks Jeal, I'll adjust my order to account for that. No offense but why was there an argument about points in excoriation? The Paladin line has 5 placeable points in that. Why wouldn't you use it.

I like pulling with Faithful Cry, tbh...just because the range is really nice and I get a jump on hate. However, It does get parried a good amount. I'll start waiting a little bit until the mob is debuffed and see how much difference that makes.
