I prevent the shitty attacks macro from queueing by placing break will as the last ability. It's a powerful attack on a long recast, so it gets used at the right time on the first use, and then doesn't interfere with autoattack because it is down (most of the time).

Thanks for that UI link. I'll try it out, as the act bell tends to be unreliable, and annoying to boot.

The only Macro I have found useful apart from individual target macros for set piece fights is.

/target nearest npc

When you cant see the wood for the trees its very handy.

The more macros you have and/or use, the less adaptable you make your paladin. Since they are such a superior hybrid class you need to have specific spells/ca's ready to use when they're meant to be used. If you use some of these spells without discrimination, you will find yourself dead dead dead more often than not, or indirectly cause your groupys to be dead dead dead. Macros don't always turn lead into gold, and there is no specific casting order for this class, only better or worse choices in different situations. Get that evil lie from your head heroes!!

I would hate grouping/raiding with half the people in this thread. Sigil macros? Body pull macros? Rescue macros? Ugh, keep that noise to yourself. I bet you all have macros for Raid Armament and Bayle's Leadership too - so everyone knows how important you are, of course!

I have a holy ground macro so other tanks don't burn emergencies at the same time as mine, and a rescue macro so they know when it's down. Comes in handy when you're juggling multiple memwiping mobs, and my sigil macro is mostly for looks, but my guild knows not to wait for amends to be recast if I just died and sigil is up. Divine Aura macrod for obvious reasons, plus it's a vent for creativity :P I change it daily.

It's all situationally nice to know. And to the poster talking about versatility being killed by macros.. the whole point of macros is to reduce the redundancy of worrying about the little things and opening up opportunity to focus on the emergencies and adjustments that make us versatile to begin with.
