The fate of amends?

Before the fighter revamp got scrapped, they nerfed EVERY hate transfer in the game on test, amends included, because they dont want tanks relying on that crutch. I think they said they were going to take amends away completely? (Was on test i believe)

Anyways, its been scrapped, but they still want to design it so tanks hate is generated mostly through themselves and through taunting.

So long question short, do you paladins think they will still take Amends away, once it eventually happens?

Eventaully I am sure they will. Whenever they get around to focusing on the revamp. I Already have the M1 version of Retribution sitting in my bags that I can't scribe. Then again, who knows if that is what they are going with now.

Whats retribution? A replacement? Do you think itd ruin your class if amends goes away? Why isnt there a huge backlash from paladins about this?

I dont play one, so im curious.

It is our T8 version of what the new amends was supposed to be. Basically a new snap aggro instead of a permanent transfer. Dropped on Anashti in PoTAO about 4-5 weeks ago. They took the drop out of the game since then. So I am not sure if they plan on implementing it or not. I just let it sit in the bank in the off chance I can scribe it the second it goes live.

As far as it breaking out class. No, no it won't. Will the vast majority have to relearn certain aspects/mechanics of the class? Of course. But the good/die hard pallies will just muscle through it. Amends does't make our class.... it is just a tool we currently have.

In the update notes, it was stated that the SoE wanted tanks to depend more on taunting alone and that they are unhappy with the amount of dps that tanks are capable of. If they get rid of our dps and amends, we better be getting 13 more taunts

taking away pallies dps will cripple them in pvp.
terrible update, shouldnt ever happen.

I think the intent was it would only affected our DPS while in defensive stance. I know they wanted dps to remain while in offensive but with more of an incoming damage increase.

There was a backlash at the mention of messing with amends when the revamp was on the horizon.

At this point I wouldnt mind a change to amends as long as I'm given the tools to do my job in an efficient manner.

Derail alert! What I would like to see is having wards (self and group) attached to some attacks like SKs and lifetaps.

In regards to Josh's post... o the pains of having pvp in a pve game. No one here should like a dps nerf.. but if it comes in exchange for adequate hate its not the end of the world. However I'd still hate it (dps nerf) .. pve or pvp.
