Amends and Hate Reducers

Ranger + Amends = decent ranged agro...Useful for some situations.

My question is, as a ranger should I be taking off my deagro poisons, passive deagro (primal agility 27% hate reducer), and not using deagro spells? Or does it have no affect on what i transfer?

from experience there is a noticable difference when my amended ranger removes all deagro tools....

when i amend someone and want to tank something, i tell them to generate all the hate they can in a polite and gentlemenly manner like so... "stop being a pussy and try to tank something"

I don't think the poisons matter, but turn off your passive reducer.

deaggro poison so im told doesnt effect amends

damage poisons help transfer of coarse - more dps = more threat

just to make it more confusing....

if your tank is using trak shield, youll contribute less hate with deaggro poison running because trak shield = current hate transfer where amends = siphoning hate

No such luck. There are a couple of people pushing to give Trak a run, but we haven't even scheduled him yet.

I'm not really sure about the whole deaggro thing makes amends less effective.

For example, i had pally to amend my sk and most of the time i gave him enough hate and was solid.. but when i went balls to the walls i peeled even through amends, but after that when got coercer deaggro i never peeled.

Another example: when i was a pally i had warlock amended and i tried few times amends on her with troub deaggro (-34% hate) and with or without that buff it didn't changed anything towards her aggro.

Or another example that might give more info about that: i used to tank and amend the assasin and he had that signet of betrayal and when it procced few times in a row he peeled through amends with deaggro or without deaggros.

What i'm trying to say is that amend is effective tool but in the bottom line don't need to look at the small details of if the target has deaggros on them or not, what's important is how you play your class, and imo taunts+dps> rely on passive hate only no matter what class you are.

Signet of Betrayl procs threat postion increases, not just hate. Thats why people peel through amends.......
