People buy their Mythicals every day, soloing to 80 in crap gear is still easy, shard gear is ridiculously simple to obtain with minimal effort.

After all of that you can drag your ass through a few TSO groups and get some pretty good gear, have your Mythical and full masters without ever understanding the first thing about your class.

Bad players are bad players no matter what gear they are in. My problem with the game is this: It is easier for a bad player to hide behind good gear than it is for a great player to shine in crappy gear.

Why don't you just man up; learn how to play; find a guild that suits you, join up, work out strats; die countless times then kill shit, get the loot, spend hous, days, months farming to get the loot you want/need. Then when you finally get the "ubah loot" go solo DT and then come back and tell us "it wasn't me it was all the loot".

and on a serious note i do agree that certain items and gear do make a difference not to the magnitude you suggest. but ofc they do.

You're comparing apples to orangutans with your leaching dirge story. Guild's with shitty tanks won't progress very far but, the dead weight of a shitty parsing yet mastered Dirge with 174+ AAs can be overcome. It's probably a boxed alt anyway...

No one will deny that gear is a difference maker but, it's time for you to back the-fuck-up and acknowledge that obtaining that gear, ESPECIALLY FOR A PALADIN, takes respectable dedication to this obsession. It's hard for a tanker to earn their seat and no guild progressing through the endgame is going to let some tag-along Pally stink up their roster.
