Just returning after 3 months off, I quit right after EoF came out. Need a little help on what gear I need to update and where I need to go to get it, with the whole deminishing returns mess I can't figure out what direction to head....I'm still stuck in the old Mit > all. HPS is a little off, my UI shows me at 6,988 in Def mode

In my best defensive stance/crap self/solo buffed aiming for the highest mit possible I end up with the follow mit/avoid:
Mit = 3670 = 52.3%; Crush: 53%, Pierce: 52%, Slash: 51%
Avoid = 5775 = 42.8%; Base: 25.4%, Block: 16.3%, Parry: 8.3%, Deflection: 0%

KOS Line = 50/50 = STR: 4 4 7 7 1, STA: 4 4 4 2, INT: 4 4 3
EOF Line = 13/50, Im heading down Wraths then Hero line
I still have a free respec on each line.

My playstyle is MT guild groups (b4 I left I was having troubles holding arggo which is why I went down STR line when I came back...needless to say I don't loose arrgo now), I rarely solo on this toon and I was raiding a touch before I left and wouldn't mind getting back into that to pick up better gear. As the casual player I am, the fabled stuff is pretty much out of my reach right now unless I get lucky on a pickup raid or some guild feels the need to be charitable to the Feed Uzan Foundation.

I am at work, but off the top off my head, i would recommend hitting some of the contested/instanced areas of EOF and picking up some of the kyle bayle set gear. I have both the relic kos banana gear and all but the head piece in the kyle bayle, and other than having a little more health and mitigation with the relic i prefer the set bonuses and stats/skills from the eof legendary gear.

You eventually want EOF fabled from raids(be it the paladin pieces or the fighter type pieces), but till then the eof gear has alot of parry/defense and decent level and numbers to help you tank. Pick up at least some treasured adornments if you dont want to waste legendary or fabled and adorn your gear for more health/power/avoidance and stats. The Raincaller heritage quest yields a useful bow to start with http://eq2i.com/articles/Casualties_...War_of_the_Fae a bow that procs a useful 5 sec stun and magic damage. There are usefull collection quests you can complete for resist gear and loping plains has plenty of quests to help you pick up other resist pieces.

If you are looking at the EOF set pieces, go into Obelisk of Blight, Crypt of Valdoon, Estate of Unrest for instanced no trade pieces. Kaladim, Mistmoore Catacombs, Mistmore Castle for tradeable contested zone chances for pieces.

Not sure what you have for a shield but mistmore castle and estate of unrest both have shield drops that can help out, even tho Labratory of Vyremm has better shield protection drops, it is a place to start.

If you havent started a diety yet, look at the selection http://eq2i.com/articles/Category:Echoes_of_Faydwer and see what matches your playing style, alot play Marr, but i have seen others play tunare and others. For myself i did the marr diety then worked thru the other dieties, picking brell as my diety on the last god i could choose. Brell has many blessing/miracles that help for my playstyle as long as i can still wear my marr cloak.

Your AA's are up to you, but i have been having a pleasant experience with STA 4-4-8-7-2 and INT 4-4-8-8 in the KOS lines and 21 in Wrath/Hero with 8 in healing for the reduced cost fervant aid and the reduced recast time ward. Going down to the 4th ability in stamina will yield you 4% health bonus and maxxing the hero line will yield around 600 health plus a large bonus to block%(larger overall avoidance) and longer duration sigil. The Wrath line will increase your AOEs by 25% and give you a power free Large divine aoe that can be recast every minute on non good class mobs. Your results may vary but this is my current likes in AA's right now.

Thanks for the link on the adornments...thats one thing I have not spent money on, will have to investigate this more.

I had heard about the Kyle Bayle armor set but had never seen it before I quit...man thats nice stuff, will have to get back into the instance runs.

Did Marr as a deity, didnt realize you could switch deitys and keep your cloak? thats a new one for me, will have to study those deity blessings a little harder then.

I really like my KOS AA setup, gives me some felxability I think and I never seem to have a problem with arrgo now...just have to run some more groups to make sure I want to keep it that way.
