id have to agree with boli on the trak sheild buff not dieing to AE,s etc.

its why i use it all the time and would have to blow the dust of my amends button. wouldnt here me complaining if they dropped amends and gave me something else like a big oh shit ward or something.

shadowknights just like to hang on to the old amends excuse as there class could be played by a blind monkey there so OP.

Take away Amends and I'll betray mine to SK in the next hour. Can argue about the desire for heals and utility and other stupid bullshit all day long but when all is said and done I do it for the aggro. I don't enjoy bouncing mobs instagibbing everyone. Never did, never will. Outside of Amends IMO the Paladin class consists of roleplay and feeling good about the glory of Qeynos, not to mention being Murrar Shar's best buddy. Yippee Ki Yay.

Trak shield is overdue to have its buff only apply on equip if not nerfed to fucking oblivion as it is. It's skewing too many peoples' perspective on what is working and what is failing between the fighter classes.

I used to be on the amends wagon big time.. then once I forgot to cast it - real eye opener.

And this was before I got my trak shield.

With stuff like faithfull cry and holyground and the omfgwtf awesome sigil of heroism mobs shouldnt be bouncing around tbh.

Not to mention rescue and the other rescue from fighter TSO AA,s
huge autoattack damage and super quick casting from str line. not that hard to be very high in both MC + DA either.

in short paladins have a lot of agro tools that are easy to stagger so one is up on every trash mob pull what ever. the removal of amends wouldnt break the class in the slightest even if trak sheild does get changed/nerfed it would just sort the men from the boys :p .

Only you get Amends at 21..... holy ground at 80, sigil at 52.. yup it makes a lot of sense to do away with Amends.

Try and think of someone other than yourself, not all pally's are at 80 fully geared with AA's up the wazzu.

You don't think it will be game breaking to remove it, good for you, what about those that are trying to level now or for people that are going to try it out as an alt, most alts live or die at about 25.

You don't want it? Do as Boli does and don't cast it.

Only apply on equip, i.e. while it is being worn. Which was the mindset I thought the devs were going to adhere to when they made regular gear unequipable during combat. But far be it from them to stick to their own guidelines and ward off uncertainty.

Actually it would sort out the roleplayers/theoreticians from the SK's. I wouldn't get too emotionally attached to your pally just yet.

I never said it was useless... it is a very nice agro buff... just once you gear up enough it can become redundant very fast. A taunt DoT similar to faithful cry on a shorter reuse whih can be uses throuh stun (MOST IMPORTANT) will pretty much give you the same effect.

Much in a similar aspect to a paladins usefulness on a raid.. intially the physical mit and base heals are actually very important; after the raid gears up pally-what?

I do urge *everyone* who hasn't done so already... just don't cast amends one zone... see what happens.

In groups I use it a lot.. in raids. I rarely use it. All depends if one person holds mot of the dps in the group.
