Default mythical heal reduction

I just noticed the touch of life was healing for full value on trash, then 1/4 value on a boss. Do named mobs have an ability to bypass or neutralize a percentage of damage reduction abilities?

Touch of life's heal can be reduced if you are at or close to 100% health so it can be hard to track. That could be as simple as you reciving more wards/reactives on the named than on the trash.

So if you are fully warded and the hit doens;t break past 100% health for you... you will only gain the 10% damage reduction and nothing of the heal.

That's a good point, but that explanation wouldn't account for the same non-zero percentage on every hit, on the switchmaster. Does he have an ability which reduces healing received?

No, and the none zero can also be explained in the same manner.

> 20,000 health pally with 6,000 worth of wards up.
> Hit for 7k
> This amount is reduced to 6.3k
> Wards absorb 6k worth of that
> Paladin is hit for 300 damage
> Touch of Life heals for 630. Only 300 is registered.

Touch of Life will not heal 10% damage all time if there is nohing to heal due to wards.. I'm pretty sure it comes after a cleric reactive heal as well, tho I have not tested it.

Boli, that's incorrect. Touch of life heals damage done, so the reduction by a rune would not apply. It still heals 10% of what gets through, verfied in my logs. Except against switchmaster for a few short times when I was tanking him directly while MT was yellow, in which case it heals 2.5%.

Multiple hits at exactly one quarter the expected healing cannot be explained by any method which would produce numbers all over the place. Switchmaster's ae's were still healed for 10%. It would have to be one of his abilities, or one gained by killing the void guards to trigger him.

Healing received on switchmaster was reduced by half this time -- at least for my touch of life.
