    Default Hate mod/transfer cap questions

    Hello,

I recently returned to the game after about a 1.5 year break. I have read in several places that mentioned the "hate cap has been increased". Is this the HATE MOD (ie: +3% hate gain), HATE TRANSFER (ie: amends hate transfer) or BOTH?

    What is the new cap?

    Thanks.

Hate Mod (the hate gain one). It has had its cap raised to 100%. Hate transfer and Dehate (negative hate gain) are still capped at 50% and -50% respectively.

Stupid mechanic. Why not let these stats get above that?

What comes first? Transfer or Hate Mod?

i.e. Amends on Assassin with De-Hate of 30%. Does the Amends-Transfer apply before the scouts own de-hate comes in or afterwards? An old question, found one answer in the forum so far wich states that de-hate comes before the transfer of the amends, but I want more actual opinions

Situational dehate only changes the hate that has been build up, not the current build.

Hate modifiers are different. I dont have facts for it, but I expect that both the modifier on the paladin (+) as the possible hate modifier on the dps (-) do not affect transfer.

If I am right, the effect of the increase of hate modifier cap towards 100% does not do anything for amends, basicly making mostly other tanks more capable to build aggro with this change. And they needed it.

From my understanding both - and + hate mod come before transfer. Easy test really get a dirge, troub and an assassin. Have the dirge throw their hate mod on you, the troub has the -hate mod for group (non tank), and put amends on assassin. Pull out an epic dummy and have ONLY the assassin hitting it. If you have 46% hate (or 41% if yah dont have the focus) from just standing there than hate mod goes before transfer. If you are sitting at a different value than need to do calculations. However i am pretty damn sure that both hate mods effect the hate before transfer.

    *Edit for some math*

So say the assassin does 50k dps (non hate mod)
-- assassin has then 50k hps
-- With just amends on assassin has 27k hps you have 23k hps (46%)

Lets say the assassin than has -35% hate and paladin has +40% hate

IF hate mod comes BEFORE transfer.
-- Assassin has then 32.5k hps, Paladin has 0 hps (as they are not doing any damage so their dps => hps is not modified)
-- with amends on then assassin has 17.55k hps and paladin has 14.95k hps (46% hate transfered)

IF both hate mod comes AFTER transfer.
-- Assassin has 27k hps and paladin has 23k hps (from amends)
-- then hate mod comes into play and assassin has 17.55k hps while paladin has 32.2k hps. Which then you should see on your hate meter about 64 - 65% hate.

If you are in the 50 - 60 range than either - hate or + hate mod come into play after the transfer (but not both).

+hate% and -hate% is worked out before transfers.

Just amend a ranger with and without their -hate% on.

nah hate mod stat comes after transfer, thats why if u grp with just a ranger and amends them if they shoot a mob and u dont even attack it itll go to you
