Thread: Unable to defend

This is another thread about scouts being overpowered in PVP, so I moved it from General Gameplay to the PVP issues section.

Please start threads in the section designed for your topic, not just where you think they will get the best visibility.

Sucks if you get jumped by a scout. Try to avoid that.

Best to get a mez off first. During that time that they are mezzed you can sprint down / manaflow down to below 30% power, pop your subjugation temp and your power temp buff and burn them. INT/AGI. STR is nice too for the counter.

next time level your toon and not buy it or get it from a friend and u might have a better chance. Wis won't help u against melee.

Some tips for you though, first off keep ur pet set to not defend you, if you get jumped by a scout take off, you need to get out of his range, as you are running away pop off illuminate, its and instant cast, keep an eye on your mezz once he is in range cast it while u are running, once the mezz lands stop and turn around, cast your power drain/stunn, once that hits get all your dots on him, as that drops hit him with silence and send your pet in. As silence is about I drop, hit him with tumor and your root, nuke and dot him up again, when your root breaks or drops asses the situation, of he's low just nuke and stun and finish him off, of you don't think you can take him yet back the pet off run and start again, keeping him busy till immunity timers are clear.

Last time I checked illys couldn't mezz while stunned. They can mezz on the run, coercers can mezz while stunned/mezzed.

What's ironic is that if an illusionist gets the jump on anyone else, they're so locked up in stuns/stifles AFTER the mez that it'd be the same thing you're crying about.
