I could care less about titles. Am I pleased when I go up one ? Yes. Do I get pissed when I lose fame? Yes. But I came to this server to pvp, and I will fight just about anyone, unless it is a sure loss. To fight a sure loss is not brave, its stupid.

anything that discourages fighting is bad(in a sense). People sitting in immunity until their evac is up to protect their fame like you admitted to doing have no place on pvp. They should completely remove permaimmunity from the game, except in cities. Either remove evac or make all evac points the same and give absolutely no immunity after evacing. They should either remove fame or make it based off of kills. Fame decay from not pvping is the only form of fame loss. Run speed needs looked at too. Max incombat run speed for the majority of people is 40%. For 4-5 gold you can have 2 and a half hours of 55% out of combat run speed with jboots. Snares are pretty much a must for pvp which fucks a great deal of people.

The runspeed is just fine. We need that for travel, because the zones are large. But how about this: If someone is hit by a hostile player, they are locked in PvP combat right away. Runspeed is reduced to zero (except bard in-combat speed and racials) and they can't evac. Also, make sokatar posts require at least 3 seconds to activate and be interrupted on every hit, as you suggested somewhere else.
Would that be enough?
I agree with the rest of your post - they should remove or change the fame system. And remove perma immunity as well. If someone wants to grab a snack or whatever, they should run to an instance, call home or stay dead.

The instantly locking into combat idea is completly rediculous. The level of greifing and exploiting would sky rocket beyond belief.
Can you imagine flying around fens or kylong and every time you land you get locked into combat by some loser group who is camping the solakars? That sir, is not fair pvp what so ever.

1. not removing fame, revamping it so its based off of kills instead of how well you can gank/run away
2. if you want to grab a snack you can camp the fuck out or stay dead. Permaimmunity has no place in game because people dont use it to just grab a snack. I wouldnt be surprised if the single worst pvp change to ever go into effect was so idiots like you could "grab a snack".
and yeah i dont think the getting put into combat when attacked would work, why i avoided it. Id go with scaling up incombat run speed and sprint speed to at least compensate for the huge increase in ooc run speed

Yeah, you are probably right. Being locked in combat due to being hit would probably lead to a lot of new problems. And I was shooting myself in the foot too, goodness knows how much a solo non-tracker and non-evac'er gets ganked on a regular basis already, lol.
As for runspeed and lack of snare effects for some classes, aren't there tinker items with snare effects on them that can be used? And to be honest - I'd much rather see the devs add snare effects on PvP items for classes who don't have it, than everyone else having to run at 40% or some low shit through these huge zones. That time has come and gone. And what of horses and rhinos?
